Jan 20, 2014 update

ominer Beta 0.15 released, fix some bugs (never 500 error responsed)..

Nvidia GPU only support Opencl 1.1, but  vesion Opencl 1.2 is required by ominer beta 0.15 now!

ominer Beta 0.3 will support Opencl 1.1 latter...

For AMD GPU (HD7 and R9 series tested), about 30% performance improved than previous alpha 0.2 version !

A good CPM at HD7970/R9 270/R9 290 GPU  sweetpoint memory frequence:  1250Mhz /1500Mhz

PS. Some users reported beta0.1 get less CPM on hd6950, hd5870.  If your GPU is slower in beta 0.15 , try ominer_hd6.exe instead.

I dont quite get it. Do you mean than the pool will pay 0.000023 per share even if block is not found ?! And if we assume that no block if found for a day will I get 0.6 pts for 1000 cpm ?

Yes. The minimal round time is 8 hours. So the balance will be updated every 8 hours, even there are no blocks found in the 8h.

I am getting "[2014-01-18 17:32:41] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 500
Internal Server Error " this error from time to time.
Also I am mining with R9 280x and get cpm 1150 but avarage shows at about 500 cpm. Whats the first cpm and the avarage one? Is this ok for r9 280x? I mine 660 shares per minute

The 500 error is an statistic request, it doesn't mater.

The avg CPM is more accurate. I think there are improvement for 280x, please wait for the beta version to upgrade.

How to start a miner-processs for a different device (have 3 devices on platform 0)? Tried:

ominer -u PTSADRESS -p 0-1
ominer -u PTSADRESS -p 0 -d 1

but it always seems to use device 0 instead...

Can you give advice?

OK, found some time to look into it thoroughly:  "ominer --help" gives  the full list of possible switches and "--platform" rather than "-p" does the trick for me. Guess will be the some for devices i guess. Silly Me  8).

Great news!! Last day we have released v0.7 and continue to improve the CPM.

There are some benchmark in this post: http://upcpu.sinaapp.com/?p=8 (http://upcpu.sinaapp.com/?p=8)

It's unreadable by paste in this forum.

you have some wrong numbers on your website:
HD6990    3000+ (cpm)

i have the newest amd-driver on that HD6990-machine (W7-64-catalyst 13.12) and i'm getting only ~1850 cpm (2 cayman-gpu on one HD6990)

Please correct this!

Edit: on 1GH this HD6990 makes 2540 cpm - so i tried it with your ominer0.7 - it was disappointing

Edit 2: compliment! your software runs very fine on the only 1-GB-cards... tested 7850 + 5850 - numbers later

Edit 3: 5850: 793 cpm  /  7850: 863 cpm

@Schwede65

Thanks for your support of UPCPU !

HD6990 is two cores GPU,  You should  open two instances with different -d (device id ) parameter with ominer now,   refer the --help paramer for usage info.
So I think you may add two console CPM!  We have tested HD5900 two Cypress cores in on card, get 1800 cpm+ in  version v0.8 preview.

Anyhow,  we will review HD6990 to get accurate CPM ! Thanks again !

Another good news!  ominer 0.8 will released on  Feb 7!  New algorithm added  optimization for HD5xxx and  HD77xx, even HD69xxx may faster,  please try and compare benchmark results later.

Blog introduce ominer v0.7 may give additional help here http://upcpu.sinaapp.com/?p=79 (http://upcpu.sinaapp.com/?p=79)

If anyone doubts speed!  Earnings and transactions can not be fake! or PTS is fake. Why not try and give a proof?

There are some issues in the program for statics. We've fixed it now, and the payout also been made.

My GTX690 only takes 900MB memory for each when mining by v0.8, which cause the cpm slow. How can I fix this issue?  Can I modify device max alloc memory size more than 512 MB?

parameter -m 1024 means use 1024MB ram, but this parameter may not work for some cards.

The database did not work in 18:00 - 23:00 11/2. But we still mined 4 blocks in that time.

So we will distribute the 4 blocks by rate of round 118 and 119(2 blocks for each round).

And also the payout method has been modified from PPS to Prop, since round 117. For the reason there is no PTS in the pool's fund, which is totally invested by ourselves wallet. :(

ominer 0.8 had a very high rejection-rate on my rigs: ~ 40 - 50 %
back to ominer 0.7 with moderate ~ 2 % rejection-rate
