I am AGAINST the lower fees.

Over last few days the crypto went up, now it's going down. And how often the centralised exchanges changed their fee structures? Almost NEVER, so let's compare:

Look at Polniex: https://poloniex.com/fees/

An entry level market maker is 0.15% so on a $2000 1 BTC trade you have to pay $3
DEX is 0.073 BTS that's $0.004

How is that not competitive?

And 8,708 BTS lifetime membership is a good incentive to create a referral network. There are a lot of clubs & professional organizations that charge more than that for an annual membership. So we either make a decision to run a professional exchange or give in to every cry baby that comes on the forum because he /she wants to spam the network with some freak asset for free or close to it.

I would only change the vesting_balance_withdraw[33] to 0, beacuse people should not pay to get their money out and it takes a very long time to accumulate 145 BTS in fees.

What does "membership_annual_fee" affect?

Does this also lower witness pay?

I don't think it affects anything. No, it has nothing to do with the witness pay. Witness pay is under:

If the stock price of Poloniex went up 10 times, and because of that, Poloniex decided to also raise their trading costs 10 times. I don't imagine their customers would be very excited about that.

Well, guess what ... Poloniex charges a percentage, something like .15% - .25% for entry accounts so yes, their fees went up by as much as a trading coin did in fiat (23 times on ether for example).

@oxarbitrage I think it's important to get the frame work out to an open source to allow others to chip in and improve it. But even though I would like to see an open source explorer soon, I think it is very important to work the core issues especially now with an increase of DEX users. If you can get that explorer out to public soon than that's great otherwise I think the core is more important atm.

So, in your opinion what should the fees be? For LM and creating assets?

Try adding wss://dexnode.net/ws if it's not on the list

There is around 218,000 unconfirmed transactions on bitcoin, that's a long wait: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
You can double check the reciving BTC address and see if there is an unconfirmed transaction. If there is, you are in line... a very long line...

This would be also a good moment to lower the daily worker budget, which now stands at about $22,000/day.

Waves 1,000 tx/s  BitShares 100,000 tx/s

Looks like that CEO took 30K bitcoins, premined 15%, delivered a mediocre product and is living life now...

now we need more good API server all around the world, I think providing good API server can be a plus for a witness.
I couldn't agree more. We need more access points to provide better experience for users.

if you want to provide feed make sure to talk to xeroc first. last thing I heard was that there are not enough feed providers  registered.
I think @xeroc already knows, he is in our telegram channel and @wackou updated BTS Tools to 0.4.12 with HERO feeds as an option.

What are you trying to do? All wallets are offline if you are not running them.

Special mention to the three coins that were on polo and got delisted on my list: I/OCoin, Rubycoin, and Supernet.

I randomly picked Rubycoin from your list and took a look at it. It has 1,200,000 coins pre mined and according to the block explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/rby/ there are only 3 nodes running - the owner of the 1,2MLN, the exchange and the block explorer is my guess... Good luck with your picks.

RE: http://roelandp.nl/bitshareswitnesslog/ (Great site BTW):
Would it be possible to indicate historical reliability of price feeds? Perhaps the avg variance and the avg time between price feed updates over x days?
Thanks :)
@lafona is working on that here: https://lafona.net/witness-stats/
