It is probably worth trying to do a reset. It can be time consuming to resync everything but it might fix your issue:
1) Shutdown the client if it's open
2) Go to C:\Users\<YOUR_USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\BitShares X directory and delete everything EXCEPT the wallet directory (maybe even copy the wallet directory to your desktop)
3) Relaunch the client and let the blockchain sync. It will appear to be doing nothing but if you keep an eye on the BitSharesX directory in step 2 you'll see it's changing over time.
4) If you're getting errors still can you post some details about them?
