generally speaking, our people care too much on getting money via worker proposal, but care so little on how to make the ecosystem healthy and sustain the BTS price.
Quote from: bench on August 14, 2019, 10:29:18 am@xerocOur reserve pool is limited, inflation needs to be around 0%. We had that between 2015 and 2017, look where it brought us ..Look what changed after voters started spending money for good.I don't necessarily say we should through out money easily, but a 3% inflation rate is really really low compared to other cryptocurrencies which even raised millions through an ICO.If you can find devs that work for free, great, bring them on!

Quote from: bitcrab on August 13, 2019, 06:09:16 amFrom my side this is not a permanent action, perhaps it will last at least several weeks.Without certainty regarding funding for the 201907-uccs-research-project worker, I will soon be forced to move the PhD student to a different project and cease our development of simulations and analysis for BitShares. It costs approximately $37k-$40k to support the student for one year (this does not include travel funding and any funds for myself), but the worker so far has only collected about $15k.What are your requirements for reversing your votes for the research project and the refund worker? I'd be very happy to provide more information about my research project to help change your mind (and the minds of the cn-vote team).

it's time to control the inflation of BTS.
bitshares.org will be voted up one hour later.
This is not a permanent action, perhaps it will last at least several weeks.I'd like to support good projects, but actually we need to review the workers and control the budget, especially in bear market, for long time the inflation from workers is too high and out of control, if we continue to let things be like this, I don't think BTS has a good future.another point is that the action is mainly done by cn-vote, which is a multisig proxy in China community, all the votings are decided by themselves.
voted refund400K.it's time to control the inflation of BTS.
unvote witnesses elmato, abc123 and sahkan-bitshares.poll voting worker proposals have decided to changed MSSR of bitCNY from 1.1 to 1.05 months ago, from 1.05 to 1.02 several days ago, but they still feed 1.1 as MSSR of bitCNY, ignoring the community consensus.
mr.agsexplorer worries me more... is there any SLA how often should witnesses produce feed? 3 hours doesn't seem right for actively traded assets.
in the recent past the CNY feeding from elmato is too low to be reasonable, unvote it temporarily.BTS need some change on price feeding to protect the ecosystem from being attacked by shorters, suggest witnesses can feed price with the suggestion here as a reference.https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=26914.msg320692;topicseen#msg320692

great competence happen in EOS node voting. I feel we can also use the witness voting to help BTS ecosystem.proxy bitcrab would like to adjust the metrics on voting witnesses:1.provide stable and reliable witness node, low missed block rate.2.update in time 3.provide good enough price feed.4.provide API server, the higher performance, the better.5. help to test code positivelyfrom 5th April, proxy bitcrab will not support witnesses that do not provide API server.

I believe that's his point, somewhat valid since we are duplicating BTC on the DEX.

Then you don't understand the potential of SmartCoin derivatives and the profits they can make for both shareholders and the network.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derivative_(finance)
