Summary
* December 14th snapshot date is approaching
* WARNING: Move your funds to your local wallet as some exchanges do not honor snapshots (i.e., Cryptsy)
* Block production in the current PoW chain is SLOW. Transfer funds now (with appropriate fee) to make sure you catch a block.

Fellow PTSers,
As the PTS upgrade approaches, in order to ensure that your stake in the new chain is honored you are advised to store your funds in a secured wallet on your local machine. BTER has privately assured us that they will be honoring the snapshot, but other exchanges (specifically cryptsy) may not. As always, the safest route is to maintain control of your own private keys.
One important thing to note is that the current PoW chain is barely producing blocks (~ 1-2 blocks per day). You only need 1 confirmation to be counted in the snapshot, but you will need to move your funds immediately to ensure that they confirm.

Agreed there should be a public announcement. Sent a request and awaiting an response from freeworm on this.

BTW, double check BTER's Play allocation!
I am relatively certain that I did not leave any amounts (other than dust) on the exchange both on 11/05 PTS-wise and/or on 12/08 BTS-wise.
Yet, my account shows 'for PlayBTS_S1' in tens of thousands.

It worked correctly for me. I got 'for PlayBTS_S1' equal to the amount of BTS I had on bter on 12/8.

Will exchanges honor the Sparkles snapshot as well? Would be odd to honor one snapshot but not another happening at the same time.

One issue I see is yPool requires more than 100 confirmations before you can withdraw your funds.
All the PTS BM paid for returning the donated PTS are in their possession ATM and I doubt they will be released until the snapshot.

Oh, the high transaction fees. That's not great... do you know offhand how many blocks it's been since BM returned the funds?

EDIT: Actually 50 confirmations are needed for the last block of these transactions.

I withdrew 69 PTS from Peloniex on 12/11 and my wallet still says 69 unconfirmed shares on 12/13. If these shares are not confirmed by 12/14, then I assume they will miss the snapshot and there is nothing I can do about it, right? What time on 12/14 is the snapshot effective?

As long as a transaction is not written into any block, the balance is in the original snapshot. As such they should credit you with the snapshot tokens.

If the transaction has been included in a block that is sufficient. You don't need more than 1 confirmation to be part of the snapshot.
The snapshot will be taken from the last block mined and published to the network before the end 12/14. Mining is very slow, so every new block could be the last one now.

How can I import my BTS into the PTS wallet? The import section only says "oldPTS" and importing my wif key is not working.

You cannot import BTS into your PTS wallet.
And what do you mean by "importing my wif key is not working" - do you get an error message, or what is the problem?

The snapshot was took from PTS and also BTS blockchains, isn't? I was trying to redeem my DPoS PTS from my BTS.
