General Discussion / Stale Slates
« on: July 29, 2015, 07:08:16 am »
Just throwing this out there, but maybe it is time for the few 100% delegates (and others) who actually bother with the slate thing to make sure theirs is up-to-date, probably best not to encourage voting for the outdated blackwavelabs and yunbi's of the world...

General Discussion / Can you make a shareable chart widget?
« on: June 23, 2015, 07:37:59 am »
Can anyone here make chart widgets that can be embedded on websites, for example these http://www.wtfdiary.com/2012/12/10-best-free-stock-chart-widgets-for.html but configurable to any of the BitShares markets?

General Discussion / The Real Satoshi Nakamoto
« on: May 16, 2015, 04:36:58 am »
May I have your attention please?
May I have your attention please?
Will the real Satoshi Nakamoto please stand up?
I repeat will the real Satoshi Nakamoto please stand up?
We're going to have a problem here

Y'all act like you never seen a techie person before
Jaws all on the floor like SEC and FIDRA just burst in the door
Started whoopin' fiats ass worse than before, they first get dispersed
Transacting faster than before
It's the return of the "Oh wait, no way, your kidding,
He didn't just say what I think he did, did he?"
And Satoshi said
Nothing you idiots Satoshi's fled, he's locked in my basement (ha ha)
Libertarian men love Nakamoto, chicka chicka chicka Satoshi I'm sick of him
Look at him, walking around mining his you know what
Confirmin' the you know who "yeah, but he's so cute though"
Yea I probably got a couple of screws up in my head loose
But no worse than what's going on in your broker's back rooms
Sometimes I want to see Satoshi on TV and just let loose, but can't,
But it's cool for Goldman Sachs to abuse
My bitcoin is on your lips, my bitcoin is on your lips
And if I'm lucky you might just give it a little kiss
And that's the message that we deliver to little kids
And expect them not to know what Bitcoin's blockchain is.
Of course they gonna know what a ledger is, by the time they hit 4th grade,
They got the Reddit channel don't they?
We ain't nothing but holders,
Well some of us traders, who work other currencies and hope.
But if we can short crypto assets and the peg is dope
Then there's no reason that bitshares can't see a rising slope
But if you feel like I feel I got the antidote.
Bitcoiners just suppose, sing the chorus and it goes

I'm Satoshi Nakamoto, yes I'm the real Satoshi Nakamoto
All you other Satoshi Nakamotos are just imitating
So won't the real Satoshi Nakamoto, please stand up,
Please stand up,
Please stand up
'Cause I'm Satoshi Nakamoto, yes I'm the real Satoshi
All you other Satoshi Nakamotos are just imitating
So won't the real Satoshi Nakamoto, please stand up,
Please stand up,
Please stand up
...
Haha, I guess there's a Satoshi Nakamoto in all of us,
Fuck it,
Let's all stand up

rgcrypto is onto something with the Twitter campaign, except we lack sufficient numbers, that could change, for $5... https://www.fiverr.com/categories/online-marketing/social-marketing/

Got something uncertain? share it.

CCEDK is going to have their devs implement bts, BitUSD, BitBTC and other assets for fully automatic handling on their exchange in the next week.

General Discussion / Account 'bter' please return funds
« on: January 21, 2015, 06:21:36 pm »
My brother-in-law who I got to invest in BitShares AGS/PTS back in March had all his bitshares in his wallet, on January 15 he made a terrible mistake and transferred all of his bitshares to 'bter' instead of 'btercom' when trying to send his funds to the BTER exchange.

I hope that the owner of the username 'bter' has it within his or her heart to return the funds back to the account from which they came.

General Discussion / Brainstorming Examples of User Issued Assets
« on: January 09, 2015, 04:43:01 pm »
I would like to see our community come up with a list of different ways that a User Issued Asset (UIA) can be used. Examples might help the community better understand the possible applications of UIAs.

General Discussion / Bytemaster's Blog RSS Feed Not Working Properly
« on: December 20, 2014, 04:47:35 pm »
On the BitSharesBlog.com I tried putting a widget on the homepage to show Bytemaster's Blog latest posts.

Here is the feed http://bytemaster.github.io/feed.xml

The feed shows the post titles but the links all go to bitshares.org to find the article and that results in page not found. I have tested this using a 'feed tester' from the web and got the same results. Putting the feed in the W3 Feed Validation Service finds some errors, the first of which might shed some light on what is wrong http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbytemaster.github.io%2Ffeed.xml
