Technical Support / Re: Not sure what happened to my bitshares...
« on: December 09, 2017, 12:53:09 am »
I think I figured it out. I remember an error when I tried to claim my balance last night, but my balance still showed up in my wallet, so I didn't think anything of it. I re-imported my keys and claimed my balance again, still getting an error, but I tried a second time and it worked. I followed that link again, and now the transaction is showing up, and my BTS balance is back to 14,007. Whew! LOL

I am 100% sure I wasn't using a different account.

Technical Support / Not sure what happened to my bitshares...
« on: December 08, 2017, 10:33:31 pm »
Last night I followed the instructions on Poloniex to deposit bitshares. However, there is no transaction history in my wallet, but my balance is zero (it was 14,007). My account name/ID is abfbv.adfvv-advavay (just a keyboard mash lol). What I need is the transaction ID for Poloniex's customer support, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to find that if there are no recent transactions shown in my wallet, even though there obviously was a transaction if my balance went from 14,007 to 0...

Good to go. I updated to the latest version of the wallet and everything fell right into place.

Thank you. I'm waiting for my wallet to sync, it's stuck on block 275164.

Look for solution, or post your problem here: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=6919.0

After all that fuss with needing 1 bitshare to register my new account, I just realized that I could've just renamed the original account. LOL Oh well. Everything is up and running properly now. I sent your bitshare back to you. Thanks again!

Okay, I didn't know that you weren't supposed to have a period in your account name. I did that, and can't register. I created another account but it has a zero balance. How do I transfer my BTSX balance to my new account that is able to be registered?

BitShares PTS / Re: jhProtominer - CPU and collisions/min charts
« on: March 24, 2014, 07:37:36 am »
Noob question: I'm mining with an i7 4770k. When I set the number of cores to 4 I get roughly 150 collisions/m. When I set the cores to 8 I get about 130. Is that the number per core, or the total number of collisions? Trying to figure out which way is more efficient. Thanks.

Worthless? Buddy, PM me and I'll buy all the PTS you've got. Have a little patience with this development team; they're working their asses off. Your PTS are going to be worth a mint, but not by next week.

Speaking of ypool, has their site been down for a while, or is it just me?

Random Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Portfolio Spreadsheet Help

If you use Google Spreadsheets, you can use this general script to import prices from each exchange's API (select Tools -> Script Editor from within your spreadsheet):

var url = "http://bter.com/api/1/ticker/pts_btc/";
var response = UrlFetchApp.fetch(url);
var json = response.getContentText();
var bter_ptsdata = JSON.parse(json);

function bter_pts() {
  var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet().getSheetByName("Exchange Rates");
  ss.getRange("B5").setValue(bter_ptsdata["last"])
}

The script above populates cell B5 in the spreadsheet tab "Exchange Rates" with the PTS to USD exchange rate data from Bter.  Now, in order to keep this exchange rate up to date you need to setup a Trigger (in the Script Editor this is under Resources -> Current Project's Triggers).  The trigger will run your script at a set increment to keep your exchange rate up to date.

I keep the "Exchange Rates" sheet separate of my balance sheet to keep things clean.

That is interesting, I'll have to give that a go. What about excel? Do you know of anyone who is using excel? It's what I would prefer to use. I'd rather have it on my computer than in the cloud...
