I didn't like Stealthy Salamander .. I think a chameleon is more ideal to describe Privacy Mode.. so I went ahead and made another meme.. Introducing... Covert Chameleon Release! :)

Why cant we hype our releases with hip names? Ethereum calls their releases things like "Homestead" - ive no idea what it means but it sounds important. Ive even seen people on Polo chat about what Homestead will do to the price.

We could have called this release Stealthy Salamander or something but we called it 2.0.160216

Wish granted...

Shareholders can subscribe to this link
https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/subscription

To keep up-to-date
IMO this is naïve mind. Devs and witnesses can do that but normal users and business partners don't think a github tag is an announcement.
It's just a lazy manner I think. It only needs 10 min and user-friendly mind to write short announcements and newsletters.

It doesn't take 10 minutes.. a proper well authored document that is not torn apart for being unprofessional or having all kinds of mistakes takes hours.

I suggest that we will move to Bitshares 2.1 when this feature is released because it is a really big change in the Bitshares blockchain. It will also give a little bit help with marketing – easy way to signal everybody that we are doing something new here.

I think it can stand on it's own without a version numbering change.

Given current updates and the proposal for the change, it is likely going to come in at maybe 2.0.2.

I think it would be best to stick to our versioning setup to keep it consistent for all devs.

General Discussion / Re: Poloniex Deposit

Speaking of Poloniex, after the ETH run, i'm sitting on too much money in a single exchange. Does anyone know of a reputable ETH wallet? I asked the question to the Etherum community on their forum, had 158 views of my question, but not a single person suggested even a single wallet. Some community...

Our community knows everything  :)
I'm not so familiar with ETH, but what is suggested at the forum is MIST: https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases

Others wallets:
AlethZero (C++)
Mist (Go)
pyeth (Python)
Etherwall (Obsolete)

haha... well done.  +5%

I have no particular favorite but there are a number of more advanced ways to have engaging discussion social networks.

If we are talking just a forum, nodebb seems like they have a rather nice product of the bunch. However, it seems like every year there is a new #1 forum application being chosen. Vanilla is another.

Any updates on the progress of the pool?  I have not seen payouts in a few days.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Polo disabled markets on one of the coins we were mining and it caused the pool payout system to get locked up.

It's not reinitialized and we are moving trades for that coin (URO) from polo to bittrex.

Things should be running smoothly again and payouts have already been processed.

I'm INCREDIBLY eager to have STEALTH features along with the hosted web wallet (with 2FA?).   But I agree with those on this thread expressing the great importance of giving our exchange partners some advance warning of this hard fork.

You can add 2FA not to your wallet but to your account with this: http://beta.peermit.com/

There is no 2FA for the wallet currently.

I see.  Interesting.  @xeroc mentioned that a 2FA solution would be ready along with the upcoming release of the new hosted web wallet.  I assume this is what he was referring to?

That is xerocs 2FA solution. I don't know if it is ready for integration into the wallet yet though. Yes though, this is what he would have been referring to. There are no others currently under development.
