Erm you can already go directly between BitUSD and BitBTC. Do a search for that market - its there.

But its very thin at the moment.

General Discussion / Re: New gui in 0.4.15

What is the short demand yellow region about in 0.4.15?
Existing short orders not showing in the GUI order book. Due to their non-exorability at the current feed price.

So what is the difference between the range below the 1hr average price (where the yellow is), and the grey Shorts Range? I thought the Shorts Range was where shorters are restricted to.

Also, my brain cant deal with pricing BitUSD in shares. I have to do divisions in my head all the time. I look at coinmarketcap and it shows the cost per share in dollars, which is what Im used to. So I press the Flip Market button to see the dollar price per share, but then the Short BitUSD column is not available. This seems like a bit of an arbitrary restriction.

Would it be possible to make the grey characters darker on the white background? Its barely readable. Besides, most trading screens have a white on black background.

Love the new highcharts graph btw :)

General Discussion / Re: Price speculation

Given that the reason that BTC is going down is (IMHO) miners having to sell to pay for electricity, BTC will continue on its steady descent for quite a while. The block validation algorithm is not changing.

What is going to happen is that they will do everything they can to try to inflate the debt away, thereby destroying everyone's savings.

And if you try escape from this evil system by putting your savings into non-inflatable assets, they will punish you by making you pay capital gains tax.

General Discussion / Incentivize taking BTSX off the exchanges
« on: September 17, 2014, 05:02:41 pm »
This post is probably quite obvious, but I think its worth talking about.

IMO a big thing holding back the BTSX price/adoption is that people are just happy to trade it back and forth on the centralized exchanges. If more people would take it off the exchanges and trade via shorting/buying BitUSD, then it would lock up more money into BitAssets, thereby restricting the supply of BTSX.

Because of collateral, the following equation applies:
Code: [Select]
Sum of BTSX > Sum of BitAssets * 3
So the question is how do we incentivize people to start using the internal exchange instead? The obvious answer is that the QT wallet needs to be really beautiful & intuitive - even more than bter.com etc.

But perhaps there are other innovative ways of incentivizing the use of the wallet? Can anyone think of other ways?

Is there an ETA on this yet?

What do we want to talk about?

No worries dude! In hindsight I did phrase my post poorly. Shall we just mass delete them? :P

I wasnt saying he was doing a bad job. I honestly thought he was leaving. I dont have time to read absolutely everything here. There was that other thread somewhere where he himself said it.

Im sure Brian's doing a great job.

That time is good for me. How about we meet at Piccadilly Circus? There are some great pubs there.

Yup. No idea where that good news is going to come from though.PEG doubts popped the bubble. Realization that the PEG works after all put us on the current uptrend. BitYield gave us a boost. It will probably have to be news from outside the BitShares organization.

Well someone said they are holding off on the marketing push until the full product is ready. They are also making substantial improvements to the GUI. So I think those are 2 things from within to look forward to.

What we need is some more good news to bump up the price.
