What distro are you on, and where is it failing?
part of it is probably my own fault for being too stubborn to upgrade. someone was reassuring me that if I upgrade nothing changes, but I've broken stuff upgrading before, and having to spend a day setting everything up just so so and download everything again would be soul crushing for me right now. I just really like 12.04 so far it's been great to me (other than this hiccup), and it's still supported until 2017.
of course my bad upgrade experiences are from the days when the ubuntu versions were still single digits. maybe it's gotten better.
I've been halfass trying to get it to work in a virtualbox too (but haven't been trying as hard because I dislike that solution)-- haven't implemented the tips in the second topic linked below yet though, but my gut tells me it'd work if I went and did that, but I'm not in a giant hurry until BTER allows withdrawals anyway.
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=5770I gave it another crack last night, using some of the instructions I discovered in
this thread, and now its giving me a different error and not even letting the compile start anymore. something about qt5 not finding curses... I could probably reproduce that for you if you want, but I'd need a few minutes.
i dont wanna upgrade and dont wanna use a virtualbox, so maybe I deserve this and should stop whining
EDIT: also I was just using "cmake ." so when I got it to start compiling it probably wasn't even thinking about the qt wallet. when qt5 barked about curses was the first time I tried compiling it with DINCLUDE_QT_WALLET=on flag
