Title: Dealing with Dissenting Opinions/Posts
Post by: Riverhead on August 09, 2014, 12:03:50 pm
Some of the conversations with ABL and CH have become a bit heated and sometimes personal. I get that we're all passionate about this technology and have a lot of time/resources invested.  However how we communicate and debate those that do not agree with our implementation and philosophies reflects on the community and the technology as a whole.

These are people already sold on the crypto industry. Some of the larger players we're hoping to attract aren't. That's when the real tough questions and challenges will start and I hope we can deal with them in a calm, reasoned, and methodical manner so as not to confirm their preconceived notions of the crypto community.

Someone presenting an alternative perspective is highly VALUABLE. If everyone has the same perspective no one can learn anything. I really don't understand why SOME people hear react PERSONAL, EMOTIONAL and AGGRESSIVE/HATEFUL. On the other side always TWO PARTIES are necessary for an ad hominum centered discussion.
