A damn good system is in place in which you can expand your network through some of a diplomatic process and that sounds cumbersome?Can anyone point me in the right direction for some resources on smart contract functionality on the Graphene chain. Are there any working examples or articles on how to go about it? CheersSmart contracts are contracts that get executed on the chain.
On BitShares you can only INSTALL those contracts by upgrading (read hardforking) the network (In contrast to ethereum where you can just put anycode on the blockchain)
However, in contrast to Bitcoin, hardforking BitShares isn't much of a hazzle because you can simply bring it to the shareholders attention and have them approve your code (another difference to ethereum)
Once the shareholders went through rigorous testing of your code, they give approval and the network can easily migrate over withing seconds.
Seems cumbersome.
Thanks for the detailed explanation @liangran2012.Kind of a newb here, but the idea of partnering to join fiat pegs like you mention seems like a mutually beneficially plan.
I would like to support this, however I don't see the direct benefit from "another exchange" where you can trade BTS.
If there was a bitCNY:RippleCNY (bitUSD:RippleUSD) gateway, THAT would change things significantly and I am willing to approve a worker to support initial liquidity!
I would even go as far and asking the committee to provide you with actual bitCNY (committee going short) - but this needs to be discussed with the committee in detail when we get there.
