Check out https://x.makerdao.com/, made inhouse as our customized frontend to the BitShares orderbook for trading MKR and DAI against other assets on BitShares. Our goal has been to make a really easy to use interface that anyone who understands bitcoin can use without a learning curve.
We have a direct link to the exchange on our frontpage https://makerdao.com/ and will be funnelling users there once Dai Alpha launches and we begin marketing efforts.
Feedback on the GUI is much appreciated!

YEAH. And this is just simple example how good implementation of 3rd party exchange based on bitshares should look like.
I mean... MKR:BTC for a consumer is much simpler than MKR_OPEN.BTC. Poloniex do not show POLO. prefix infront of all coins.
I think this is a good direction. IMO http://bitshares.OpenLedger.info/ should hide all non OPEN.* coins .... and all coins (OPEN.*, TRADE.*, and all bitAssets) should be available only on http://bitshares.org/wallet
TL;DR;
at openledger - simple wallet for newbies
at bitshares.org/wallet - wallet for power users

I love it even more!
- Removed all unnecessary stuff
- even removed confusing account number below account-name (people think that account number is their address)
- Deposits/Withdraw moved to the top

I you want to be perfect... just add information to "Send" form, that "memo" is optional ;)

Really nice, I like the different themes.
-
you should remove "find markets", because i can find the not wanted market here and could try to trade.
what happens if i send BTS to a maker address? i can not use them?

It's a totally standard bitshares wallet, just with a customized GUI. Searching for more markets means you can add any bitshares pair you want to trade. We still haven't finalized what the default pairs should be but this is the suggestion at the moment:

Actually could someone tell me what the default pairs are atm? I can't easily check it myself without nuking my wallet I think

Yeah... and there user will be able to find market MKR:BTC (that is MKR:bitBTC) which will be suprisingly different from showed by default MKR:BTC (that is MKR:OPEN.BTC)
Further things to improve:
From newbie perspective, there should not be a message like that:

The fact that faucet is needed to create new user account is implementation detail - should be hidden in that case (can be available in power user wallet)

You can always use private mode in your browser (or even create profiles in Chrome ;))
But for me, default view is:

Nicely done! +5%

There are still few things to remove on https://x.makerdao.com/#/help (like permissions, membership, etc)
Also title of page should be corrected:

Could you please explain what is MKR and what is DAI? Thanks

Well done!
Looks great.
This should be a wake up call for openledger @ccedk to make some basic edits to the GUI.
Deposit/Withdraw on the top menu makes alot of sense, we should have this on the standard client.
If you agree please thumbs up this github issue https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene-ui/issues/787 (https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene-ui/issues/787)

@rajarush @oldmine
https://makerdao.com white paper link is on the front page. It's a BitShares inspired stablecoin scheme on Ethereum, but using BitShares as the primary user facing exchange.
-
Yes this is certainly beautiful. I like the ability to change colors up there too. Simple things like that make a huge difference for users.
-
great, and easy to understand gui. @ccedk you need this - and add a "enable features" button for the full GUI version

It's simplicity and 'freshness' makes me happy.

is the forked code available on github?
-
@Rune the faucet account is running out of funds. Will be unable to register new users.

how is the pool refilled?
