I remember BM saying on a mumble that ACCT were more of a technological curiosity than anything else - iirc they are not practical or efficient enough?

Maybe because operating on the BTS network can achieve the same thing? Nice post OP.

From 30,000 feet, this seems like a great analogy. Easy to comprehend and see the value for multiple parties. Whether it's technically feasible or not, I have no clue :-).

Estimated blockchain syncing time (on old PC)?

Depends upon your internet connection.    There is almost no disk access and everything is in memory so it is blazing fast.   There have been several million transactions on the test network and the test network has simulated 11 years of maintenance intervals at this point and can still be reindexed in under 5 minutes.      I would guess that once the real BTS chain is out processing less than 1 transaction per second on average (based upon current rates) that your old PC will take no more than 10 minutes to sync for a very long time.

Wow. Very very cool. Can't wait.

Now that the pitchfork is basically out of the haystack, I think we are in for a very interesting month. I just picked up a few more BTC worth at the beginning of this week :-) just in time I think.

I hope the team finally gets documentation up to par with the complexity of the codebase. If you want avg joe to jump in you will need the ability to explain every step of the system in simple language with examples and screen shots. It would be "nice" if the web wallet were to have a help system to ease avg joe into bitshares. This is what every other crypto project is missing.

This. I would support a worker proposal immediately after launch to fund this. Adding familiar support functionality and documentation would make a big difference, I think.

Maqifrnswa put together a raspbian image with the CLI wallet and witness node for Graphene/2.0 already, in this thread:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17297.msg223696.html#msg223696

I was able to get the dumb witness node running on my RPI2, but got stuck there because I am also dumb.

Not sure about RAM requirements for a GUI wallet, but the RPI2 at 1GB is sufficient for the CLI wallet and witness node.

You cant apply over-fancy TA like Elliot waves to such a low volume thing as BTS. What happened was buzzwords like "Pitchfork" and "Timeline" were used, and short term speculators got excited and made 50%. That is all.

Looking at CMC past 2 days there seemed to be several coins that rose and fell in a similar fashion. BTS had the biggest spike because of the forum news, but if I had to guess there were some manipulators out there who drove everything up and sold it back down.

It feels like that has been happening once every 3-4 weeks for multiple months now.
