Stakeholder Proposals / New Delegate bitfeeds.chsln
« on: December 15, 2014, 02:12:36 pm »
Hi all,

I've created a 3% pay delegate

It's a simple delegate, already up and running publishing feeds.

I'm from Italy and the server is a VPS located in the Netherlands with 2GB RAM running on Ubuntu.

I decided to start a delegate to help decentralizing the network and provide feeds.

I'll use the pay collected to maintain the server running, if anything left i will burn it.

If you think that my delegate is useful for BitShares please approve it!

Cheers.

Technical Support / Account name different after registration
« on: December 03, 2014, 02:46:44 pm »
Hi,

I was messing a bit around and i created a new user from a command line instance on a remote server like this:

wallet_create_account
then inserted an account name ex: name

I went to my wallet on my windows machine, added the contact with another name with
 wallet_add_contact_account anothername "BTSX....."
and registered the account i just created from the GUI selecting the name from the directory.

Well... now my new account is registered on the blockchain with anothername...

How's that possible???

General Discussion / The Exchange DAC
« on: November 10, 2014, 11:37:07 am »
Hi all,

I really like the idea behind BitShares but as a new user I faced a problem: How do I put founds in my account?

Well, for the moment I went on some exchange and converted a few Bitcons in btsx and thy charged me a small fee.

That is an income for the website so I thought... is it possible to create an open source DAC that, for a fee, does this conversion autonomously, that accepts BTC and change them in bitBTC (or even change USD to bitUSD through a bank account)

The fees will stay in the bitshares network, used to implement the system and redistributed  to the holders of the Exchange DAC. The DAC have to be trusted, transparent and whit proven balances.

There is so much involved in this and I'm very new to bitshares so help me understand if this is ever possible and the implications of such a DAC.

I guess that if this is feasible it will help BitShares to grow making it more accessible and directly linking it to other coins/economies.

Cheers
