I honestly don't care. I'm here for a completely different reason than most. I am not beholden to illusory profits that make me give up on my principles.
Let those asshole do what they want...the only way bitshares dies is if we let it. And if we do that shame on us...we never deserved freedom in the first place.
Take your bullshit elsewhere.

Who's "they"? We're all "we" here, except for you, in which case you should address us as "you", not "they".

We went over this all pretty exhaustively 6 months ago. In fact, some of the impetus for the change to the dilution/paid delegate model was probably at least partially a response to the possibility of governmental attack. The idea was to make Bitshares into something self funding in a decentralized way, that could survive whatever attack was thrown at it.
Looks like a FUD post to try to get someone to sell into your buy orders OP? ;)

Of bitshare gets fined 70000 can bm and dev team take that hit? It will close to lethal wouldn't you think.
This is just a cautionary analysis. No Fud. An unwillingness to consider possible outcomes is problematic.

It is a random mutation I guess. There will be evolutionary reason (for the future scientist to analyze) if they persist through the next 5-10 generation....

You are right that it really does not matter. All it is, is my memory is usually pretty good, I am kind of shocked when it fails me.

The only problem I think we'd have is finding Coders qualified to replace the core devs. The software runs whether they are actively coding now or not.
Maybe we should require 51% of the core devs to manually wall burn a warrant canary that publishes a different "GOOD TO GO" style message every month. If the message is always slightly different, then we know that it was manually published and not some batch file. If it's multisig, we could stop the gov from tampering with those wall burns too. Secret subpoenas wouldn't be such a threat and we would be a lot more agile to such attacks.

although this is worrying
n a response to twin letters submitted in late 2013, the chief US money laundering and terrorist financing regulator explained that bitcoin exchanges may be money transmitters, even if they only match buyers and sellers on their platform
