QuoteWe welcome with open arms any input, ideas, or suggestions
Here we go. I was at a friends house and we started talking about tech. He then asked me what I thought about Ethereum, and he also mentioned ripple. He is just an observer of crypto with no stake in anything, but he confirmed that he has heard loads of press about those other projects and none about Bitshares. When discussing why that was, he showed me ethereum.org, and he praised its clarity and speed at telling the visitor what he needs to know about ethereum. At the top of the page it has headers for:
What - clearly explains what ethereum isQuoteEthereum is a platform and a programming language that makes it possible for any developer to build and publish next-generation distributed applications. Why - clearly explains why I should care about ethereumQuoteMost of the services you use today have something in common: they are centralized...
We then compared it with bitshares.org, my passive observer friend said that he couldnt tell what on earth Bitshares was. There are no quick links at the top for What and Why. Instead there are links to TV - he doesnt want to watch 30 minute TV episodes, he wants to know what BitShares is in 20 seconds or he is closing the page and going elsewhere.
His comments after reading the content on bitshares.org were:QuoteAvoid the outrageous fees... As Good As Cash- so why is this any better than Bitcoin?QuoteAny Currency- other projects give you multiple currencies, why is this better?
Anyway this is the honest feedback that my friend gave me about the site. We need to explain the core appeal of BitShares more succinctly.
Currently we are only interested in crypto-to-crypto trading. We are also building a new enterprise-grade payment gateway system. After that we may consider acting as a USD/CNY/EURO gateway.
How much did you pay yourself?
I had a lower salary than almost all of the developers and took a bonus of equal size.
CEO of bitreserve, Halsey Minor .. owes over 10 million in taxes to California.
"As of 2012 the state of California listed Halsey as the #1 on the list of the state's Top 250 Delinquent Taxpayers"
I would not risk trusting this guy as the counterparty for my investment with this kind of liability hanging over his head.
I love the payment gateways ripple has, but what's more exciting is once we will be able to send Bitcoin or any other asset to our Bitshares addresses

The faucet pays for your registration
Keyhotee is effectively dead =\
I can vouch for proof my waist as mine expanded a few extra inches over christmas.
Typo
"wealth transfer to miners which waist most of it in the mining process"
This reminds us "proof of waist" lol
I thought I caught wind of one, but have not noticed anything in the forums.
We have an email thread going right now where I am helping them with integration.
Obviously if we failed to trademark BitAssets when they were in fact trademarkable that would be a sizeable mistake on our part.
