Random Discussion / Original Protoshares investor asking for help
« on: August 16, 2016, 04:54:16 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I'm an original Protoshares investor and Bitshares holder and enthusiast. Like many I'm trying to make a go of it on Steemit.

I've written a well researched and documented post that I think is of the type that the "wales" are now looking for.

It's about how Gardens at hospitals or clinics can reduce anxiety, anger and depression. I would appreciate you having a look at it and sharing your comments.

General Discussion / German Translation of "Bitshares 101"
« on: February 23, 2015, 07:18:27 pm »
In the recent Edition of the  Nullstreet Journal.
https://bitshares.org/newsletter/2015/nullstreet/the_nullstreet_journal_0-1.pdf

Max wrote that there is a German version of his book "Bitshares 101" does anyone know where we can locate the publication as it would be very helpful for meet ups in Germany? Despite my searching......nothing.

Thanks for any help.

Technical Support / Specs for a new computer
« on: August 23, 2014, 07:01:59 am »
I am running my wallets on an iMac using OSX 10.8.4 with a 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 and 8 GB of ram.
When using the wallets BTC PTS and BitSharesx my computer, at times, runs so slowly that it is almost unusable.

I have decided that for security and other reasons to purchase a laptop to use only for crypto currencies and will most likely switch to a windows based machine.....

Question: What is most important for smooth operation
a.)RAM
b.)processor speed
c.) other criteria

Is there a problem transferring dat or json files from OSX to Windows ? Annoyingly my dat files from OSX show up as VLC media player files.

Any help and advice would be appreciated

Technical Support / .dat files associated with vlc player
« on: August 22, 2014, 08:58:15 am »
I am working with OSX 10.8.4 and when I back-up wallets I get a .dat file but it automatically associates it with the VLC video player.
This holds true for the bitcoin and the protoshares wallet. Will this cause problems when I try to import them into a new wallet?

Thanks
