Hey everyone, I am on the 2.0 boat, xeroc claimed them for me.

The time of uncertainty is over.

I just noticed that the owner key and active key(s) are intermixed in the export file .. hence you would expose the owner keys to me as well if you send the file ..
Fortunately, you can change the owner keys later and "lock me out" again and I can show you how to do that

Anyway I would propose this procedure:
1) Send the exported json file to   Fabian@bitshares.org
2) Send the passphrase as a MEMO to "xeroc"
3) I will claim all funds in your wallet directly into the account that has send the passphrase

Would that be ok for you?

Keys in the json file are ENCRYPTED, you can't easily decrypt them manually.

If you really need the help, maybe we can strip the file down to contain only the balancedKeys, then I could claim them for you free of charge

I just got an idea, I will just import the keys manually!
All assets other than my BTS imported nicely. I have the json and the bin file. What should I do? Just open the files and look for BTSkeys and import?
