Where are the index-tracking bitassets?
-
You can make them if you want. Right?
-
No Feeds are currently publish for those .. We should start doing so .. I will update the script ASAP
-
Its pointless right now - we barely have enough liquidity to keep the BitUSD market alive.
-
well I had been thinking about those too (still need to fix my script first) but now that we can have markets with any pair of assets, probably now is the time to consider whether we want to keep those with BTS as core asset (as in BTS1), or if we want to move those market to NYSE/USD, SHANGHAI/CNY, etc.
I would say the latter, but I'm not expert in that field, so... thoughts?

Best to use USD. It strengthens use of Bitusd. Why would anyone want the volatility of BTS?

I agree. it makes more sense for it to be SHANGHAI/CNY, NYSE/USD, etc.
Also, any ideas about naming them in a way that reflects they are tracking the index? Something like NYSE-INDEX ?
edit: likewise stocks could be something like GOOG-NYSE-STOCK ? I don't know, it doesn't read very pretty, but with metals, individual company stocks, currencies, and now stock indexes, it may already generate some confusion.
Or perhaps call them just NYSE, but have some sort of tag for the type of "thing" this is, so that it can be displayed in the ux as a description.. if it is not there yet? Have not checked.

how would you go about making one?
How do you make sure n asset is pegged to a certain feed?
