General Discussion / Re: A BitShares Constitution?
« on: November 01, 2014, 11:15:49 am »
I am in strong favor of controlled by a law or constitution that should be stable as possible as it can be, instead of relying on so called "trusted" people who have more power than others and harness the power to implement "better and flexible" policy.
I actually don't trust the "trusted" authoritative people.

 +5% ! I am inspired!!
I think Bitcoin has grown because it appeals to the INSTINCT of human being.

I was intrigued by Nick Szabo's paper (The Origins of Money).
Bytemaster, If you haven't read it before, I recommend it.

General Discussion / Re: [POLL] When BitShares Makes Its Move...

I hope a synergistic effect.
If Bitcoin way of decentralization experiment fails, it is an unfortunate thing.
It is more helpful when the entire ecosystem thrives. :)

General Discussion / Re: IMPORTANT: BTS Merger (Poll)
« on: October 24, 2014, 08:01:25 am »
Considering the momentum towards the merger, I cannot resist it. And I think the reasoning behind the merger looks rational.
Though I feel like Bitshares is going to a dangerous path. If that merger idea (and dilution) works it's great.
BM is pioneering new ground so there is always a risk. I hope a good outcome.  :)

Solo mining is not profitable, if you use this you should have your own mini farm.

I have 15 macs, that combined only have the expectation to earn 1 block per day.   If you solo mine right now with a high end machine you should expect one block every 2 weeks.  Of course the difficulty will rise over 2 weeks and orphans are high, so solo mining is more like one block every month+.

I just pushed a patch to gain another 10%

May I have a new patched Linux binary please?

Trying hard to compile from source and now I am stuck with Boost 1.54 installation...

I am using Ubuntu 13.10 x64.
