Has anyone else noticed the caricature at the 0:33 mark of "Cash, Card or Crypto"?

Is this for real??

Sorry - I can't figure out how to post the screenshot I saved...can someone else help me out here?    http://imgur.com/bvAJszi

I have 99 CFSCOIN in my BTS wallet. I can't remember the exact circumstances/function of this UIA. Do these have any utility or should I just disperse randomly?

Very nice, signed up!

When I've used metaexchange in the past it worked well.  Helped me escape bter. ;)

Yes, this exactly. I bought all my initial BTS through BTER in 2014. It's so awesome to see better (and more) alternatives already.

General Discussion / Re: List of Priorities for Worker Proposals:
« on: July 17, 2015, 04:16:13 pm »
I think crafting some templates (maybe in PDF format?) could be useful.

There could be checkboxes to indicate if the person or team making the proposal also wants to implement themselves, or if they are just seeking stakeholder endorsement and then want it put up for bids to implement.

Does anyone have project management or proposal experience that could help draft a template? I'm ok creating documentation, but I don't have experience drafting business proposals, so I wouldn't know everything that should be included.

In any case, I think it would become much easier down the road for stakeholders to actively vote on proposals if they got used to a uniform visual presentation, and if it could be downloaded (pdf format again) for offline or later review.

Please sign me up. Will do my best to contribute in a constructive manner. Great idea, and thanks!

FYI - I've been using metaexchange exclusively for my BTS orders, and now am using metaexchange and CCEDK....both definitely my preferred methods. Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: SWIFT Institute want to pay BTS 15.000 Euros
« on: July 16, 2015, 07:59:05 pm »
Thanks for passing this along. I am working as an intern at one of the largest information intermediaries in the financial industry. My team deals directly with exchanges and I have been trying to put together a presentation that charts the past and future trajectory of the exchange industry as dictated by technological trends. The block chain plays an integral role in future development of the exchange ecosystem and I have already begun to do some analysis of how the trade workflow can be consolidated by the block chain.

Reading the proposal, it appears that institute or at least the author have very little understanding of the full breadth of alternative block chains that exist. They seem to be skeptical that the block chain can be used for trade execution and should be relegated to consolidating back office operations which is not at all true given the transaction processing and confirmation speeds of bitshares and hyperledger, which at present or at least in design can handle 200,000 and 500,000 tps, respectively.

If no one else from our community plans on writing a proposal I plan on doing so, even if only as an exercise for better understanding how this technology might be adopted in the future. I know that most within the crypto currency space are looking for mainstream adoption, but I think primarily that we will see adoption amongst the very corporation that we are trying to relieve ourselves from.

Basically this is an easy 15.000 Euros if you understand the technical constraints of the block chain, which most people that are fixated to bitcoin don't understand.
Please write a proposal!
Working within the belly of the beast gives you good insight and you seem like you have some idea what you're talking about - go for it, mate

He has a short video somewhere on the forum somewhere. I think 38PTSWarrior is worth the votes. Have had him on my slate for a while. 30% pay delegate at today's rates is a no brainer in my opinion. If his day to day is really like that, he is generating 350-700 face to face impressions per week. 1% conversion is still 15-20 people per month exploring BTS.

Thanks for the math example phillyguy, I feel better :-)

yeah, but that's not targeted. conversion is more like 0.001 if any

You may be right @fav.

DAC PLAY / Re: DACPLAY0.1.7 AD system online!
« on: July 15, 2015, 10:30:33 am »

so it's a marketplace for ads?

how do I apply for an ad I want to display on my website?

If you have a website, then you are the owner.
You'll tell people your AD policy, like price, position, size etc.
And then watch PLAY blockchain (API blockchain_get_account_ads <account_name> [limit]), or use a blockchain explorer service, pick up the  valid AD and show them on your website.
For owner the operation of "show AD" are automatic.

For publisher, they can buy your AD position in PLAY client.

Maybe the advantage is not clear for traditional website, but we hope this AD system will be widely used in PLAY client on gamedev account page and game page.

so let's say I want to display ads on my blog - where and how do I get in contact with the owner?

I'll test it later when I'm at home :)

I believe you are the owner: you post specs in the Play client for the kind of ad you have room for on your blog and the price you will charge. Then advertisers (publishers) using the Play client can buy your ad space for their content for x number of days.

If you have 5 minutes, take the survey from the Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems at the Vienna University of Technology and SBA Research.

BitShares, CCEDK and BanxShares is a choice in the survey.

They pay 0.0042 BTC for your time and 0.001 BTC if you refer people.

If you want, use my ref link:

https://www.soscisurvey.de/BTC_study/?r=846388

or without https://www.soscisurvey.de/BTC_study

I took it and used your referral link. Thanks!

I think I have caught up with people on this thread.  If you think I may have missed you let me know.  It certainly wasn't intentional.

I didn't receive any, but my contributions have been exceedingly minimal. BTS buyer and holder since August 2014. Sometimes useful contributor, sometimes just noise. Proofread AJ's tri-fold and sent him some recommendations.
