MineBitShares bitUSD Mining is now live at @ http://pool.minebitshares.com (http://pool.minebitshares.com)
'We aim to be the most profitable multipool with 0% fees and bonus payouts for every miner, every day'
We've just completed payouts of $439 bitUSD to 45 miners who have been mining on the pool over the last 3 days. This is at 0% pool fee and included 3 days bonus payments.
The pool website has been updated and now includes pool profitability stats.
Happy Mining!

Wow, that's impressive. I thought BM said, that you guys where doing about 20 usd worth of BTS before a day.

Such awesome work.. DelegateTip worthy!
BTW.. I been mining your pool for some time now.. and your uptime has been awesome.
I hope with these new developments and the +5% now with BitUSD you can now look at ways to improve the mining pools profitability across the different coins.
Also work on automating your payouts.. I am sure that must be so tedious to deal with! :)
-
Having a scheduled automatic payout time will help too. Is there planned payout schedule interval?
Great work!!
-
Great job!

Cool! +5% :)
Do you have a plan to add CryptoNight (Monero, BBR)? It's will bring to pool many GPU's owners.

I want to buy hashing power and use it so bad! But I have no clue how to do it!
Can someone show me how I can use nicehash.com to mine in the bitsharespool?
-
It will be interesting to see how much $ worth of electricity is needed to get 1 BitUSD.
Perpetual motion machine here we come :P

Suggestion: Make all of the tabs present the information for the active coins more at the the top.
With the current format, as I flip through the tabs I get the impression that everything is broken because of all the 0 Ghz hashrates and "invalid shares." This may turn off people who go there to check it out. You want the first thing they see to be signs of a healthy pool that is functioning correctly.
Also, great job in general, I think this is great.

Why are you mining scrypt coins? I don't see bitcoin anywhere
-
Has anyone posted this information to Bitcointalk.
My rep there is very low (have never really commented on anything).
Someone with a high rep should defiantly post this to the forum.
-
Why are you mining scrypt coins? I don't see bitcoin anywhere
Because bitcoin is nearly always less profitable to mine compared to scrypt and other coins.
-
I thought piggybacking off of Bitcoins hashrate network effects would have been more profitable for us because:
a) Bitcoin is the largest Market and therefore is the most liquid. With other alt-coins we have to deal with liquidity costs. Sharing with the Bitcoin network would greatly improve our liquidity as well.
b) According to laws of perfect competition-- miners seeking a higher return would come to our pool as we are offering a risk free percentage back that they can't achieve anywhere else. As a result mining off of bitcoins network would provide the largest pool of investors directed towards Bitshares. The more miners that come, the more marketed awareness that is captured for Bitshares. Therefore the more capital (in the form of collateral and bitassets) would be kept within the Bitshares system.
How is mining alt-coins going to benefit us?
-
The whole point of virtual mining is mine the most profitable coin at the moment then sell to buy the coin you want. If ppl could make the most profit mining btc there wouldn't be any need for virtual mining.
ps, that said, it would hurt to add sha256 to the pool.
edit "that said, it would not hurt to add sha256 to the pool."

Pool need more algos like x13\15,neoscrypt, sha-3, nist, groestl.. Because sgminer support hot switch between this algos

Great work, almost wish I hadn't sold all my gridseed equipment way back

How do you source your bitUSD?
Currently from Bter.com ... https://bter.com/trade/BTC_BITUSD
I'd be interested to hear where we believe the best place to source it is for most benefit to the community... marketing / volume exposure etc?

Besides the profitability...many of us dont have sha miners...myself for instance I have grids that can run dual mode but the sha hash is hardly worth it.

If you buy from bter you are most likely buying from cryptohedge's bot. We will aim to have this bot always offering the lowest possible spread, but you could buy from us directly and further save the 0.2% bter fee. However I don't know how this could effectively be done (since i assume you want to dump the bitcoins the instant you mine a block), maybe we can set up a bridge you can use where we buy and sell for the same spread as our bter bot but without a fee. I will be looking into this.

As of today I have turned 100% of all my miners to this pool.
It is that good.
Looks like some others are now joining in as well!
Well done! +5%

Have you tried talking to the NiceHash guys about listed as pool? Could be good cross-promotion opportunity.
-
any possibility of getting AuxPOW w/Litecoin/Doge/Viacoin (like @Coinotron)?
Update : The pool doesn't seem to like muh Zeus's. After a few minutes I get "hiding blocks" or just "new block detected" repeatedly. =/
I tried 4444 and 4446. I'm using bfgminer if it matters.
-
Tried nicehash.
Mined scrypt with 10$ for 4 hours got 6 BitUSD back.
I just finished mining x11 for 10 hours with 7$ ...lets see what i get out. :D
-

Once we have some good payout profitability stats and history, I'll ask the nichhash and others to promote list / the pool...
Do reach out to them yourself now though if you'd like to help...

AuxPOW is on the roadmap... But we also need more hash to allow litecoin/doge mining to be profitable within the payout windows so it's not at the top of the list yet...
And I've never used a Zeus miner - is there a cgminer build, maybe try that and also PM me your BTS key and I'll have a look in the pool logs to see if I can see any messages that might help.

Interested in what price you paid for your orders? BTC/GH/Day? as there will be a price for NiceHash/Westhash where you will be profitable...

With scrypt 0.23...i tried lower offers but it didnt get picked up by any miners.
And i just recieved the x11 mining ....7 dollars in 7 BitUSD out :D.
I guess you have to be very patient to find the right time to buy hashing power and also compare it to the rest of the market.

Does this effect mining profit as BitShares still has wide spreads and low liquidity?

Sounds good.
I finally got bfgminer to play nice with the pool, all appears to be working well so far. Received first payout today, thanks!
-
Just means I'll use the internal BitShares Asset Exchange... to buy BitUSD
Is there an option, or any plans to have a pool option to payout in BitShares, instead of BitUSD? I realize the BitUSD can be sold for BitShares, but if you're converting BitShares into BitUSD for paying the miners, it's likely some would prefer to not have it converted and remain as BTS.
-
If you guys need a new source of bitUSD post BTER, metaexchange now has a bitUSD market (courtesy of Rune / Riverhead) with a decent spread. Shoot me a PM if you'd like help using our API?

It is something I'm exploring in potential partnership with the likes of metaexchange. Miners could use the password field in the stratum protocol to specify how they would like to be paid... i.e. BTS, BitUSD, BitSilver etc...

This could be interesting. Let's say we offer to exchange any bitGold mined through the pool for real gold. The payment would have to come from the address that receives the pool funds and only up to an amount that has been mined through the pool. The minimum purchase would be 1 oz.

I'm fine with the way things are (bitUSD), but would welcome the option for receiving BitShares.
All I know is, our small office rigs (all 7mh/s) are profiting more on this pool vs AuxPoW LTC+DOGE+VIA @Coinotron, which is surprising.
-
just found this and getting stuck into it, getting 2-3 mh out of my quite old comouter system.
mining anything else i just give up seeing people's ghz level hash rates but on this my worker creeps higher up the list.
I'm using x11 in the form of a variant of minerd for the CPU and one of ccminer for the GPU. The gpu is doing a lot better than the cpu by miles.
yeah am totally new to cryptocurrencies lol

Today my Titan's BFGminer is showing that the pool is "misbehaving"
0: Misbehav Strtm Quota 1 Pool 0: stratum+tcp://bts.minebitshares.com:4446
I've also tried on port 4444, same thing:
3: Misbehav Strtm Quota 1 Pool 3: stratum+tcp://usd.minebitshares.com:4444
Any idea wassup? Seems to have been since the litedodge coin was added (or maybe that's just co-incidental). fwiw, i tried adding the /#skipcbcheck parameter to the pool, as has been suggested elsewhere to fix the coinbasecheck error, which didn't work either:
0: Enabled Dead Quota 1 Pool 4: stratum+tcp://bts.minebitshares.com:4446/#skipcbcheck
update: looks like adding the #xnsub parameter to the pool's URL has fixed it:
0: Enabled Strtm Quota 1 Pool 5: stratum+tcp://bts.minebitshares.com:4446/#skipcbcheck#xnsub

Hi jz, thanks for sharing this...
I run a TITAN myself, but admit I just let it run, rarely look at the bfgminer output...
I've now added the change myself, will report on if it makes a difference in terms of consistent throughput.
And will update the FAQ and make a tweet for others as well,
keep-em-coming, thanks.

Did payouts go out today.. or did I get missed?
They've been delayed due to some issues with the pool's client upgrading to 0.7.0..., should be out a few hours once I've managed to sync it etc...

Why is that?
As explained earlier in this thread, there we're issue with upgrading the bitshares client to 0.7.0, therefore delayed payouts.
Note: BTC/MH/Day is per day profitability, so even though the last payout covered 2 days worth of mining, you don't double the /Day profitability - by definition.

Yesterday the payout was very low.
Lowest of all pools I think. How come? Is the 5% bonus still in?

And also: Do you only have 14 Scryptcoins to switch between?

Agreed, profitability for scrypt was relativlely low yesterday, however X11 was very high 0.00034510,BTC/MH/Day!
Note - the data for all pools for yesterday is not in yet - see poolpicker.eu. there are only two pools reporting -0.0001718, 0.00014859
There will always be variability on a daily basis, remember yesterday was a bad day for nearly all alt coin pricing - 10% across the board.
The 5% bonus is still being paid by me personally, while I wait from personal top-up funds from bytemaster. Byte master's perdonal bonus can bring the value of the daily bonus to +20%.
Yes 14 script coins.
I'd love to hear your recommendations of new POW coins that are profitable and that the pool's average hashpower are likely to mine blocks in a reasonable time, ideally at least a block every 20 mins - based on the coins difficulty.
Please let me know if you know of coins that will fit into this criteria and I'll add them.

No it was not bad all over: Your pool was the worst performing according to poolpicker. Nice to see you there now btw! :-)
You aim to be the best, but are the worst. How is that? How come the variance is so high? One day the best and the next the worst...
With the 20% bonus it can be realy good! :-)

what about Dash?! (digitalcash ex darkcoin, x11) :)
Thanks, we have had darkcoin listed before but it introduced too much 24 hours payout vairability to be viable. i.e the current difficulty of Dash (2,371.6435) means it would take the pool 12 hours at 0.5Gh/s to maybe find a single block. We need to list coins that practically guarantee finding a block within 20 mins at the pools hashrates. And then the pool will only switch to them if they are the most profitable of all coins.
Unless you want to be paid weekly ;D
-
Oh ok im understand) However thanks for great work and amazing profit, congrats :)

-
There was some downtime yesterday. The pool is in the process of being upgraded and moved to a new place so there will be some hiccups over the next week.
-
what is the possibility of seeing real time worker estimated payouts like on MPOS pools, been hashing for over 24 hrs and no payout yet and no idea what my actual earnings are.....BIG turnoff to dedicated miners....

There was a lot of downtime due to issues with a particular coin causing instability in the pool. It took some time to finally identify it. Since we have removed that coin we have not had any downtime issues.

That's good for past payout but I meant an estimated earnings readout for the current payout round

That is something we are planning on implementing as part of additional enhancements to our payment system to make it more automated and also enable some other unique features that will help enhance profitability more consistently daily. Estimated earnings will be part of that. I can't give you an ETA on that as of yet until we have completed some other updates.
Feel free to share any other suggestions you may have that you would like to see. Always welcome other miners inputs since in todays mining environment not everyone has the same situation with how they mine.

CS is here and ready to serve but it may take a little bit of time for DSN to make sure everything is running smooth before adding new features.
No one is more excited about the prospect then we are :)

Oh those bitUSD do go far these days, 320 BTS for each bitUSD mined. Weeeeee!
-
Yeah really! :)
-
The profitability for scrypt is below LTC for 2 days in a raw.
What is going on with scrypt mining?

Profitability was low all around.. if you look at poolpicker you can see we were the top paying pool that day compared to others.
As for bonuses.. we are still paying them out.. but at a reduced rate. With the decrease value of BTS, our delegate pay is no longer enough to cover bonuses, expenses, and further development.
Today the pool was moved into the bunker. You might find the payout better today.
However going forward, we are considering proposing an additional delegate so that we can maintain bonuses and get the programming done to take it to the next level. This of course depends on the support of the community.

I will vote for an additional delegate, DSN. To the bunker, and beyond!

Thanks TurkeyLeg.. we are considering possibly calling on people to move their votes from one of our current 3% delegates to a new 100% delegate that would reflect the new name as well.. BunkerMining.
I will get started on the poll sometime tonight.

This is why I say we should have many delegates paying toward making CERTAIN it always remains the most profitable. We can always burn whatever isn't needed later ;)
I actually believe we should work on having more than 2 or 3. Maybe even 4-5.

Added your 100% delegate to my slate https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,13539.msg204855.html#msg204855 (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,13539.msg204855.html#msg204855)
and would be happy to add more, especially to mine BitSilver with SHA-256 ;)

My take on this is thus: Datasecuritynode is a trusted member of the community. It is silly to limit our options unnecessarily when it is possible to ensure the success of this project. This means having ample funds to guarantee the payouts will be higher than competitor pools.
Even if people distrust him (for some reason of which I am unaware), we could enable multisig for an account and allow a few other trusted members of the community sign over extra funds as they are needed. The question really comes down to whether we want to have ample or no flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances (Marketcap comes to mind here--but it is not the only factor). If the funds are needed, then we have them this way...if they are not needed even better, but at least they were available in the case they did become a requirement. If this pool drops from being the highest for a long enough period of time due to unforeseen circumstances, we might lose one of our biggest chances to explode onto the scene like we want this to do. If that happens we might as well have not even done it at all.
Whatever amount goes unused just sits locked away in the multisig account until such a time as it is needed....so if/when Data effectively accomplishes his mission to ensure it is the most profitable pool on its own, we can simply burn the rest of the funds. This is the only way we can:
1) ensure the pool remains the most profitable regardless of circumstances
2) ensure #1 is accomplished with the minimal amount of BTS created.
This isn't rocket science :)

Just to make sure nobody missed it.
Please cast your vote on our informal poll regarding creating new delegates to support this project:

We are only leaving this open for a few days to gather feedback before we move forward.

Hi, was wondering if someone that runs the pool could look into this or provide some guidance. I was mining scrypt fine at stratum+tcp://usd.minebitshares.com:4444 for about a month and then over the weekend I could not connect anymore, specifically after Saturday the 2nd. I noticed on twitter that you moved data centers. Maybe there is an issue with a firewall or something? I was reviewing the settings again and saw in the guide that there are other ports for high diff, so I ran a test on 4445 and I can connect, switch back to 4444 and it immediately fails over to my backup pool on starting. Thanks for looking into it.

Are you experiencing this right now?
I am not able to reproduce the problem on my end but we made some adjustments to our firewall to try and address this to see if it made some difference.
-
To address this issue we have changed the mining port from 4444 to 4447.
All miners who were using 4444 need to update to 4447 instead for the same difficulty level mining.
We have tested everything and it should work fine.
Let me know if you have any further issues with this.

It's working for me now on 4447.
Thanks.

How is it going with the most profitable pool?
Maybe you should stop saying that or get some more "bonus" into it to back that up!

When will we see the payout to be the best?
-
Good job guys.
so what kind of miners are you all using? Will a sha bit coin miner work? I might have one, just need to get some new psu.. :)
-
Only SCRYPT and X11, SHA is to come later

Yes like iHashFury said, we only support Script and X11 presenting. Once we have completed some updates we will be supporting sha256 and possibly a few others.
We are in the process now of increasing our funding so that we can get this all done sooner than later.

To bring further innovation, profitability, and enhancements to the MineBitShares Pool we have submitted a Delegate proposal.

I call on ALL our Miners to VOTE for ALL our Delegates so you can see your mining profits go UP UP UP!

Why do you say it is the best pool?
It has been among the worst pools for weeks.
Where is the profit and where is the bonus?
You have to pay more than 0.00022/Mhs to claim to be the best!
That happened a month ago...once!

That is a sidetrack, Lets keep it in here.
So how it is going?
-
Last note on poolpicker was 0.00019. Pretty ok.
What caused the boost? Bonus working again?
WIll it stay at the top or will it be the worst again tomorrow?
-
That is a sidetrack, Lets keep it in here.
So how it is going?
It's not a sidetrack.. it is the answer to your question with extensive explanations and additional links of the status of the pool and why we are making a bid for additional Delegates to make improvements and increase profits. I provided the link to give you all the answers you are seeking.
It's going to take more than a minute to go through it all though. :)
Giving you two liner answers are just going to produce more questions, so I highly recommend you go to the source and catch up on what's been going on these past weeks.
Want to keep you fully informed.
-
Thanks, but I just want to know if and when the pool will be the best?
Will it?
How long will it take?
How much will the bonus be?
When?

These things are hard to figure out. All we know is that it is a good shot...and likely the best shot we have for the moment. I think it is helpful, regardless, though because if you think about it it really isn't costing that much.

Why is the pool down?
Error 1001 Ray ID: 1f3d03dbb0ef05b5 • 2015-06-09 13:00:27 UTC
DNS resolution error
-
The DNS we used for bunkermining.com is with the registrar of the domain name.
They were attacked earlier today with some kind of DDOS that they only recently resolved.
In the future when we get other updates done we are going to move to a private federated dns network that will mitigate this kind of thing happening in the future.

I didn't got bitUSD from yesterday 20150908 mining? Why? No incomes in BitShares platform, no payment address in pool.minebitshares.com. Everyone except me got. Wrote in contactbitshares@bitshares.org - no answer. Whats going on?

After a careful forensic analysis of our logs we found the issue and are sending out payments to those that were missed down to the last penny.
Payout 0908051049 is the payout for last night that you should have received have been sent to you and everyone else.
Sorry for the delay. The issue occurred with a few other users due to a hangup in our current payout system. We are in the process of getting the pool completely updated and with better payout systems. You can follow progress on that here:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18253.0.html
Remember to http://vote.bunkermining.com to further support the development of this mining pool that grows BitShares bitAssets. Our new version is going to provide much needed liquidity to all the major bitAssets and will provide higher payouts than ever before!
Have a great day!

Is this even still happening/viable?
-
Is this even still happening/viable?
Don't understand the question. Could you be more specific? The pool is operational and paying out daily. You can go to the site and see all the charts and reporting at any time to see it happening and viable. Was there something more specific you were questioning?
-
Is this even still happening/viable?
I see no reason why it wouldn't be viable. It's been up and running pretty smoothly for awhile now.
