The flagship bitAsset (bitUSD) has no one willing to short.... :(
I will list possible causes. I believe it is combination of several of them not necessarily all of mentioned.
1. NO one is bullish on BTS ::) -my weight +0.5 to + 1
2. I need my BTS to vote... I cannot use them for lame shorting -my weight +5
3. 2x collateral from the shorts themselves is too much -my weight +2
4. I need my BTS for share drops... anyone of the upcoming DACs have a different levels of treating collateral with either uncertainty what they gonna do as in (Sparkle, Rand Poll Coin) to out right favoring assets in expense of collateral in the case of PLAY -my weight + 1 to +3
5. No one is prepared to short on the Saturday after Thanksgiving... ::) -my weight +0.25
What're your thoughts and opinions guys?

Those 2 things are consistent.
I think its probably because we just had an unexpected spike, so people think we are due a correction.

someone bought every available short already.
and you are right, i cannot vote with shorted BTS so i am considering to not do it. in my opinion this is a major flaw in the system. if i hold bitassets or shorted them i have nothing to say. this should be corrected as soon as possible.

do you have a timeframe when this change could be expected?

The force cover after 30 days is like losing without a fight, there should be a way to extend this, like adding collateral and/or paying fee.

How about being able to short at negative interest rates if nobody is willing to offer 0%?
