I tried the pool miner on a laptop with three CPU's.
 It just crashed.
This happens when I click Mine xx pool (should be easy) but it opens a cmd window and closes instantly.

Four cores do the trick but require some code to be changed in the wallet.
Try rounding the # of CPU cores to the nearest square number.

I guess Memorycoin alone is good enough.

Any possibilities of there being a 3.0?

Seems like the code is open source, but it may pose a security risk to have that code available for the public viewing.

I'm going to put a few MMC in the market over there but the volume on OpenEx doesn't seem very attractive.

The objective is to increase demand.

Offer a Lottery for all MMC users.

105% of the coins are paid out.

Make the payout split between 3 contestants from 65%, 25%, 10%

This should offer users incentive to start mining MMC.

I may work on this little idea :)

Freetrade,
Here is my dedicated server's IP address. It is not mining MMC but it runs the daemon at a below normal priority.
It has been online for the past few weeks serving nodes. I just restarted it to add the churn option.

IP: 69.197.161.42:1968
maxconnections=1000
churn=1

Thanks! I've heard it can choke above 1,000 - try 900 to be on the safe side.

I've set it to 850.
My server should be online for at least another year. It pays for itself ^^

#1: Encourage Miners to Adopt the coin (Mine and HOLD)
#2: Promote Demand (stimulate buying and possibility of profit by presenting calculations)
#3: Create an Application that can be utilized by the economically marginalized. (Present the normal individual with reasons why to mine MMC with a less-than-three minute video) [Possibly multiple jobs on fiverr?]
#4: Promote the exchange of services and goods by transfer of Memorycoin.
#5: Create a marketplace to sell MMC for other things rather than Bitcoins.
#6 Create an EASY tutorial with big and colorful letters and little steps. Make it easier to mine than bitcoins.

MAKE THE WEBSITE AND APPLICATION APPEALING TO THE GENERAL PC USER SO THEY WILL ADOPT.

Any individual who runs for CMO and makes these ideas happen will get my vote.

I offer 50MMC if no one takes it for 1000MMC.

In MMC, you have a right to vote for whoever you would like to.

I suggest creating a team to handle the CMO position. $360 a day is too much for one person.

i.e. One team consisting of: Website management, Website coder, Website support, Technical Support, Central Affairs, Board Meeting Advisor, etc.
CMO is too generic of a position, and very easy to get a free lunch.

Seems like FreeTrade is looking for someone who can provide some of the above and/or more - or possibly more effort than belltown to win his vote over.

Being paid by the blockchain is absurd if you're really not putting quality work
Think of this : you do four hours of work per day to get $90 per hour. That is completely incredible to pull off.
I suggest to spoil your votes if you feel the candidate or candidates are not doing their job well enough.

It hangs after 5s on Ubuntu, CPU is dual L5639 so it should be supported..

Edit: 8 threads works fine, anything above that makes it hang.
Edit2: Solution is just start 3 instances, so they will use 24 threads total
Supposedly my L5639 runs much faster with 256 threads.

Let's be practical.
Minimum 0.0002/BTC in the next two months. (most of the 80% of supply)
0.001 BTC target in one year. (10% of supply)
0.05 BTC target in two years.
(reward is practically 2% inflation thereafter)

You should probably say this at that start of the thread:

[16:47:28] Will mine 21 more seconds for miner developers to support development
 of the next version

WARNING: THIS 'ALPHA' VERSION STEALS 21 OR MORE SECONDS OF YOUR CPU TIME.

No improvement really. I5 2500k is running at the same speeds.
I use process lasso and everything works out fine after setting this process to idle.
