I have lots of other work to do, so I suppose we will have to try again some other day.
Sorry everyone.
Its ok Roger. We are all busy so we all can very easily understand. Thanks for making the effort despite such a busy schedule (especially considering it is valentines day--you must have a very understanding wife/ladyfriend!).
With that said, I agree it is best to have a bit more notice, though when you replied with a yes to my request and put up the date as this Sunday, I naturally decided to do away with this protocol (which ironically was implemented last week) to accommodate you and guaranteed busy schedule. However, I guess the protocol is there for a reason and the realities of short-notice hangouts just not being the best of ideas do not bend even if I want to bend them for you
This bit me in the ass here. Kind of like if I jumped off a building determined to "fight gravity".
As for the mumbe info, you may have missed it because I didn't send you it in the email after you gave it to me but in the twitter pm's we had sending back and forth (again during a time when you were likely juggling other things--deduced from when you apologized for the "short replies"). I have gone to the specific message where I gave the beyondbitcoin.org/mumbleinfo page link to you and I can see how it could have easily been lost. Looks like it was sent on Feb 10th.
Again, these things wouldn't have made it so difficult if we were to plan a hangout with, say, 2 weeks notice (my preferred bonus hangout preparation period) because over time I would have likely sent it to you more than once along with other various messages. However, since our conversations have been like little flashes of lightning that is hard with such short notice. Thanks for understanding the dynamic here.
Now to what really matters to me: I must reiterate how greatly it is appreciated that you were willing to try to schedule a hangout so quickly despite your busy days. Our community is
very pumped to meet you so I will endeavor to make this easy on you and bring them all together to reflect on the seemingly infinite and unexplored depths of blockchain technologies. Let's set something up for a specific date (longer wait is better than short wait), and I'll gladly guide you every step of the way. Heck, if you want I'll set it up for you remotely while you sit and drink coffee(rum?) in the morning
P.S. To all community members: I will continue accepting SILVERTICKETs over the course of the coming weeks up until Roger's Hangout. Who knows...if you guys are lucky maybe I'll play some more ABC's Songs before it starts.
@rogerver Skype and Google Hangouts should be fine as well. Mumble is set up in such a way as guest speakers can be on skype, google or the mumble client and we can still use the mumble server itself as conference hall. However I will still be using the Mumble chat to grab questions from mumble.
