General Discussion / Re: Should we continue to funding mining of PTS?
« on: October 17, 2014, 04:16:34 pm »
Well I am for shutting down the mining of PTS to prevent miner dilution, I am concerned about a 20% cut of DACs going to the same set of entities that are locked in stone.  This is not much different than Apple or Google taking a 30% cut to be featured in their store. With PTS liquid, it at least allows new 'founders' into the system.

Is there a way we can stop mining but still keep PTS liquid?

So then i get 108.5 USD, but inflation was 10%, so the vaule of my USD after that year is now 97.65 USD.

No, the value of your USD is 108.5 USD.  Only they buying power of that USD has changed.

by value io meant buying power - please see previous comment. Value = buying power

ok guys i get all that, no need to convince me.... but no one has answered my question.... is bitUSD as open to inflation as the real dollar?
and btw you can get more than 2% - example :

http://kapitalbank.ru/private/contributions/?utm_source=yandex&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=context_tul - 5.5%

ok thats just one example, you can get up to 8% per year on your savings in USD in Russia.... (please refrain yourself from comments about developed countries and politics - keep the talk to Economics and bitUSD only). Im sure you can in

I was asked a quetion about bitUSD i couldnt give a good answer to. It might have been discussed before but i cant see any info on that.
The question is how does bitUSD fight with the inflation of the real value of USD. In the sence of lest say i have 100 USD i put them into a bank (its 100% secure and safe - lets assume so) on 8.5% per year. So then i get 108.5 USD, but inflation was 10%, so the vaule of my USD after that year is now 97.65 USD.
Now i take 100 USD and buy 100 bitUSD + after a year i get 2.5% (we are taking todays situation), so i get 102.5 bitUSD and excnhage them back into USD + inflation .... so i got less

So what do i miss?

The law that was passed, was a law against exposture of homo sexual propoganda and pheodophelia to minors... I think its a good law, in fact they should keep an eye on it, instead of just passing it.
As for gay people rights.... well apart from putting aside villagers (im sure you have nough red necks in the US) then gay people are fine and no one discrimintes them (not more then in other western countries, i spend 18 years in the west and dont see any difference).

As for coverage... well its like that in almost any country. If you live in Russia and watch chanell 1 (main chanell) then your perception of the world is going to be.... well, i can hardly describe it. Its like that in any place, you have to open your eyes and understand the propaganda machine. In the west that maschine works in a "great" way - poeple are made to believe that there is no propoganda and that what they think is their own conclusions. Over here the propaganda is slightly different - its old school. They wash your brain to make you think different and tell you that you shouldnt have an opinion - but who listens? So thats my conclusion, id rather have an opinion of my own then be brain washed to think that i have that opinion. Sorry if it all sounds confusing

only no one has banned btc (yet) here and no one is looking down on homos (well no more then in any other country).... dont believe the tv mate

My apologies. Still on the fence about that though. A European country would be a huge change for me, but it would still be Western, you know? I don't know if I could handle Russian culture shock. I'd also be afraid because of the Ukraine situation... in the event the US were to get drawn into a conflict with Russia I'd be the guy with the American accent.

No worries, for some strange reason people think its still 19th century here. Well Russia is just VERY different from the West, it will never be the same as the West. The thing is people dont want it to be that way. Even people that belong to the opposition dont want to follow the West footsteps, wheter in culture, development ways, laws or whatever else.
So defently you are right about culture shock, as its nothing alike Europe. As for the Ukraine part - well.... i dont know to what extent you guys are expossed to the information in your media, but i highly doubt there will be a third world war begging over the situation. For now the situation has slighlty stabilized, although there are still a few hundred thousand refugees from the Ukraine in Russia. As for whatever anyone tells you - well Russia pays daily income to those refugees per person and helps with finding homes and jobs. I am personally involved in those situation so no need for me to watch the news over this one )))
Im sure at the end of the day the situation will stabilize and it will take some years to bring it to what it was (10-20 years) but thats just the beggining, unfortantly things like what happened in the Ukraine will begin to happen more frequently across the world and Europe too i believe.

Technical Support / Re: BTSX Price Per Share
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:19:06 pm »
If the tech catches on like many think it could, don't be surprised to see a $100bln valuation on btsx in the next 5 years, which still isn't even = to the market cap of visa.

The price is surpressed now because of how difficult it is to actually aquire shares... The new onramps will help immensely with that.

tonyk praises you  :D :D :D
