I'm not arguing for a marketing campaign, I'm saying I'm suprised that the price has not dipped lower because there isn't one. It's not a criticism.
Quote from: AdamBLevine on July 27, 2014, 08:26:51 pmI've been expecting the price to go as low as .00000999 I'm honestly surprised there isn't more of a impact on the price given how many people were stuck for so long and how little awareness there is about the launch of bitsharesx in the english language.I believe we have everything in place for BitAssets (BitUSD) to launch... just need week for the test net and then get delegates to update their code to match and we will be good to go. While the backend is being tested the trading interface GUI should be complete which will give us a complete product to advertise / push starting in September. Right now is too premature for launching a major marketing campaign. It may help the the price in the short term, but in the long term we are better off marketing a complete product rather than another alt-coin with a hope of a better future.

Ether has been so hyped that I think people are afraid to miss out on it, whatever it is or ends up becoming. It's like a trendy project on Kickstarter or something. As an investment, I'll stick with Bitshares.
Do you think guys due to ether sale that pressure to BTSX prices will increase?Honestly I believe they will... Many investors of bitshares would love to get involved with ether too... The logic is ..."the eggs in different basket's". Do you think I am wrong or not? Thoughts?

QuoteI just saw your name as - 'stefanopodopolis' .Please do not blame me if this is way off, just sounded way Greek to me.hahahahaha.... I have changed my user name at some point since I was pissed off because someone squatted Zeus in BTSX but then I thought it will further confuse people so I changed it back...Quote' common Greek behavior ' refers to the fact that in Europe, Greeks are known as pretty good/slick traders. so I interpreted your words as a negotiation/trade tactic.I bet they are...I am doing just fine in usual stock trading and forex...With crypto it is another story...I am really bad at day trading and inexperienced so I end up to be a bag holder...Although I don't feel bad about it since most likely in the long run by the time the rest discovers cryptos we will all be just fine... Are you the other Zeus with his extra high purchase price, or this is a common Greek behavior ?
I am also buying but my Break Even must be double than yours... So it is not pure greed but rather try to minimize my weighting average to avoid a potential disaster...
sell sell sell...please panic sell....Let's drop it another -25% at least...

In the meantime buy cheap BTSX and hold on to what you already have. Such a pessimist you are. How will I buy big enough yacht with such low appreciation?LOL I'm trying to be conservative here!My honest prediction is that by about the 2020's if not sooner, work as we know it will be replaced by greater and greater automation thus the people that will do well and thrive will be those that own shares in digital companies. They would probably obtain their wealth through dividends or appreciation of their shares in something like BTSX! Oh come on you gotta dream bigger! I'm planning on using the wealth I gain to start mining... for asteroids! Browsing the VictoriaSecrets models and deciding which one to date on any particular night, is kind of taking the steam out of me dreaming bigger.

I explained this a few times - People felt trapped, there has been very little marketing so you have lots of people who want to sell and few who want to buy. This is why I said the prices you were dealing at before were way too high, and were not real. It's not about "faith" it's about market dynamics.
