The chain of Bitshares X, the decentralized exchange and bank, has been up and running since July 19th, 2014. After six weeks of observation, we at DAC Sun limited feel comfortable about this decentralized technology. And we believe it is now the time for the world to enjoy the benefits that Bitshares X has brought about. In order for people to better understand Bitshares X, in the following six months we will carry out a Global Promotion Plan (GPP) to better educate the public and promote Bitshares X all around the world. The GPP includes:
1) “Bitshares is grateful” plan. This plan aims to recognize early contributors for their effort towards the community development. Some language regions have already started/finished this part of the GPP.
2) BTSX investment whitepaper.
3) BTSX technology whitepaper.
4) Bitshares local meetup plan.
5) Merchant adoption plan.
6) “Calling for paper” plan.
7) Best website award.
8 ) Social media promotion plan.
9) Major exchange adoption plan.
The GPP will be put into effect in parallel in several regions, based on languages. We will mandate community members from each region to take charge of general affairs. If you are willing to take some responsibility, please contact us via email: info@dacsunlimited.com.
In six months, we expect to see a significant growth of the Bitshares community and a strong boost in BTSX’s market capitalization.

I suggest that you create separate topic for each step where all undertaken steps will be posted.
Even if this is for another country it could bring ideas and clarity of the tasks at hand.
Also completed activities and results could be on display there to inspire the rest.
-
I am not extremely technical, but I may be able to help with Portuguese or Spanish translations.

Well done .

would love to see GPP getting its own forum subboard on marketing section .. with GPP for general discussion and also GPP subboards for each language ... just an idea... guess we'll collect a lot of stuff the next 6 month :)

I'm not a developer or a tech guy, but I know I could sell the shit out of BTSX to non-tech people.
Could give a hand with french (Canadian), either translation or promotion.
Thanks!

"a strong boost in BTSX’s market capitalization", sound like some Ponzi words. :-[

How's that? Can you name a single entity (from APPLE to the local dog food company) that doesn't try to maximize shareholder value?

I think Bitshare promises better anonymity than Bitcoin, IIRC.

It does .. but the forum still logs your IP which are viewable by administrators :)

Then why haven't administrators blocked the ip of the spammer who has been hitting us hard the last few days?

It's easy to switch IPs. They need to ban the URL *bbbtrust.co.uk

If you would like to help with Marketing go to https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?board=48.0 (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?board=48.0) specifically we are looking for criticism (constructive) over on https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=8202.0 (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=8202.0) an infographic everyone can promote to there facebook friends, twitter and reddit.
Right now my friends and I are working on doing the text modification for one of the infographics. We are stepping on peoples toes which we are sorry if we are offending anyone. Come help us with the text modification and then use whichever infographic you like best.

Currently BitShares anonymity is similar to Bitcoin, just easier to use. The wallet as currently implemented goes the "easy route".
1) You get a new address with every transfer
2) No change addresses are used... so you can tie transactions together this way.
3) If you are voting for a unique slate then that can also tie your transactions together.
4) If you receive funds from multiple people and then transfer them all at the same time, they will be tied together.
End result: privacy of the *CURRENT* wallet is similar to how bitcoin operates.
The blockchain supports greater privacy, but the advanced privacy features are not exposed:
1) Use change addresses
2) Never combine inputs, instead use multi-transaction payments
3) Reuse existing slates of other users (or use recommended slates)
4) Pay USD transfer fees with BitUSD
-
coinjoin over a network? let the delegates figure out the input/outputs?
not sure if that does make sense though a little late here .. after 4h of reddit AMA I am out of brain juice and should probably go to bed ..
-
2) Never combine inputs, instead use multi-transaction payments
And a memo encoder to create different memos for these transactions.

I'm eager to know if anything has changed since then, I have missed 18 months out of bts life at one point...

This thread has been dead for over 2 years... I'm guessing anyone involved in this has long left bitshares

No matter how hard I try
You keep pushing me aside
And I can't break through
There's no talking to you
It's so sad that you're leaving
It takes time to believe it
But after all is said and done
You're gonna be the lonely one
Do you believe in life after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don't think you're strong enough
Do you believe in life after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don't think you're strong enough
What am I supposed to do
Sit around and wait for you?
Well I can't do that
And there's no turning back
I need time to move on
I need a love to feel strong
Cause I've got time to think it through
And maybe I'm too good for you
Do you believe in life after love?
Judging from everything that's going on in this community
some people must!

Hey Stan! I'm well aware of all those things, but this is mainly work done by yourself and the bts team (thanks for that).
I was not aware of the telegram chat, can you link me up please?
By bringing this topic up, I meant to see if the people involved, are still spreading the word and if they are, how so?
PS The song is awesome (I hope Cher knows she is on about bitshares) :D :D :D
