Any transactions you make will be relative to the balances already known and will not affect balances that are unknown. With 0.4.10 you should be able to recover all balances belonging to you.

« on: August 30, 2014, 12:22:34 pm »If you all want this market to function the way it's supposed to, someone needs to start creating video tutorials on how to use the BitSharesX app and explaining the basics of trading. I guarantee you there are a bunch of people just like me who have no idea what they're doing so we don't bother using the exchange to its full potential. For example, I would like to know (in plain english) when I should convert to bitUSD, when would be a good time to short a bitAsset, etc. There is so much I would like to know but have no idea where to start learning.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Thanks to everyone for their support so far! We've have achieved a social reach so far of almost 20,000 people!!
Just an FYI - I realize I still owe payments to those who have supported. My client is currently affected by the bugs and as soon as that is resolved I'll catch up and make all the payouts. If you don't hear from me for the next few days, it's a holiday weekend in the U.S. and I'm heading off-grid into the woods

I didn't do anything technical. I deleted EVERYTHING and reran the client with a fake wallet. Once it was sync'd I put my actual wallet back in and all was good.
hmm ok. That's what I've been trying, but I only up end with 40% of my balance or the wallet crashing... I won't settle for either option

I've gotten so far as the client recognizing ~90% of the value of the correct balance (I can see my balance under my account as the blocks are syncing), blocks will sync to 100% and then when transactions are scanning, it crashes.
This happens for both Mac and Windows. Is it possible my .json file is corrupt and how would I go about fixing that...?
