I simplified and posted in General,

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7830.new#new

ill cover any excess fees if needed with community funds..

just being a bit aggressive here. hopefully the placement in General will force the campaign on the people who have not yet signed up ;)

we maybe should stop trading before this bug is fixed

As one of the people with crash issues, I wouldn't want anyone else to stop trading.  Keep on keeping on my friends and I'll be with you there soon.  We're still super early, there's bound to be bugs here and there; it's the nature of being an early adopter and a sub 1.0 participant in the network.

The same here, Windows 7

The first time i launched 4.9 I got
RPC Server Error: In method 'blockchain_list_assets': Assert Exception (10)
and "Not connected"

After a restart the error is gone but the syn process got stuck on block 321978.

Same here, stuck on block 321978 then No connection.

Exact problem here for windows.  BM - any error or bug report I can get to assist?

Hey fellows,

I will send 1.337 bitUSD to each person to sign up for the Thunderclap campaign and post in this thread. A screenshot of the confirmation and / or incremented counter will suffice for proof! We currently have 57 / 100 users signed up, so this will be for spots 58-100 only.

Thanks to G1ng3rBr34dM4n for organizing this. Don't forget to snag your 10 free BTSX from his thread over here for your show of support: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7447.0.

Lets get this great tool for exposure of BitSharesX to the world past the target goal!

Robrigo, you the man! Thank you for your support and initiative in helping with the Thunderclap campaign.

Thanks also to the support of boombastic (agsexplorer dev) for the generous pledge to contribute 1000 btsx to the Thunderclap campaign (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7447.msg103146#msg103146) I'll gladly match robrigo's offer to anyone in spot 58-100.

IN ADDITION, I'll pay 20 bitUSD to anyone who supports in spots 58-100 AND has over 10,000 followers.

Mac crashes though.

It would really help if you could provide a strack trace from the crash reporter:

On the OSX Terminal:
Code: [Select]
defaults write com.apple.CrashReporter DialogType Developer

OK - I'll attempt to do this when I get home from work.

Mac GUI successfully upgraded my 0.4.8 database and now has 8 network connections.

What the hell is going on with everyone else's computer...

So we will not get connections until the fork happens?
The install went fine but it says no connections, I want to make sure this is because of the fork.

RPC Server Error: In method 'blockchain_list_assets': Assert Exception (10)

Same here on windows for me.

Mac crashes though.

Confirming here.

Just downloaded and launched 0.4.9 - still having same crash issues.  It throws an "RPC server error" just before crashing.

bitsapphire, I think THAT is the best idea i've heard proposed in months. Has a viral potential built into it.  Who has the experience to build such an app? We should green light this kind of project. B

Another idea that has viral potential built into it - application that allows to send some small tips to friends on social networks, something like https://www.changetip.com/, or another good example is dogetipbot on reddit - I think reddit community did very well using tips to recruit a lot of new users, wouldn't be surprised if this played a major role in dogecoin success. Tipbot doesn't require light client, so it would be easier to implement. A year ago I've started working on something similar for Bitcoin (bitmonetizer.com) but abandoned the project, still have some code that probably can be reused.

Would you tip BitUSD or BTSX?

How about we start with BitUSD on Reddit?

Just an FYI to anyone who supported and I haven't sent funds yet - my wallet has been crashing incessantly for the past 2 days.  Working on finding a stable version.  :-\

In the meantime, keep up the great work!! We currently have a social reach of over 14,000!

We've been a hot topic of conversation. Mostly positive, but some still aren't quite sure what to make of us - if you're also on Twitter, maybe you could help them understand better and weigh in on this conversation started by @BryceWeiner:

Trolling educating him on Twitter now.
