Title: MUSE LOGO (suggestions from community)

Hi guys, pretty self explanatory.

Any ideas for a MUSE logo?

In a nutshell, it aims to be the foundation on which the new entertainment industry would build off of.
Does not need to be ultra music centric. It should be attractive to music yes, but to anyone that has a fan base.
Talent discovery
Fan engagement
Transfer of wealth in the entertainment business.

I'd suggest before logo comes brand.

Write the mission, vision and values first.
If the brand were a person, what would their personality be like?

What would they stand for? What would they stand against?

To me, logo is just a symbol, a visual representation of the brand. Brand is the identity that rarely changes.

Brand is 'the promise' to the customer. It's how a customer feels about the brand. It's how the customer perceives the company, that to me is brand.

The phase "we are re-branding" is often a misuse of language. They mean "we are updating our logo".

A true re-brand would be changing what your company stands for, changing it's fundamental purpose for being. If that's what you're doing, I'd suggest it's better to start a new business altogether with a new brand else it will confuse the marketplace.

Here's the process I use to guide my consulting clients through this process:


In my marketing framework:

Mission - why do we exist?
Vision - what are we going to do?
Values - what makes us different to everyone else? (hint: your belief system is what make you different)

Examples:

Google's Mission
To organise the worlds information and make it useful (will never be completed, hence the company will always have a purpose)

Bytemaster's personal mission
To secure life, liberty and property for all.
(Maybe that's more vision because technically it could be accomplished?)

Microsoft's original Vision
A computer on every desk (they pretty much reached that milestone so had to update it).

Let's see.
MUSE would enable the flourishing of an ecosystem for the music world.
By being the foundation for the music biz.
By being open, transparent and permanent.

Logo might reflect:
-Solid foundation
-Flourishing of art (artists/bands/musicians & businesses/services)
-ecosystem

This should help with ideas!

I have found all logos on internet. They are already in use I assume...

Cool... especially the hexagon in the background with the hidden "M" as part of the design. The hexagon suggests distributed peer-to-peer--a level and transparent playing field--and the M would be a great way of tying in to MUSE.

What about having just the hexagon, with the "M" outlined in a different color?

An idea: use sound bars (similar to the sound bar icon in front of the "MUSE" topic on the front page of this forum) roughly in the shape of an M. You could have four or five sound bars with the first and last being taller than the middle ones. For instance, the bar heights from left to right could be given by 4, 2, 2.5, 4.5. Then, the logotype word "MUSE" can appear to the right in some contexts. This could work in black and white as well as with different colors for the bars. Hopefully someone artistic here can take this idea and see where it goes...

Geometric shapes involving spotlights or spotlight beams

Ok, here's a crude attempt at a MUSE logo design:

The triangle shape for the "M" suggests a strong foundation, and the folded strip can represent an evolving, dynamic blockchain. The artwork is clumsy and needs a lot of work, ha ha. But hopefully the basic idea is clear.

Those are pretty nice. The Pendragon/Cass logo.

The guy that did the PeerTracks P designed one. the MUSE information page will be based off of that.

MUSE being P2P means everything about it is up to the Members of the Distributed Organization of course.

the logo is the very first impression... so sincerely I think the project deserves something much better than this  .....

If that becomes a big issue, it can always be changed. MUSE is P2P and community owned afterall!

the logo is the very first impression... so sincerely I think the project deserves something much better than this  .....

Completely agree.  This image is beautiful and really resonated with me.  I haven't come up with anything anywhere near as good.....and i've been trying for ages! :)

I really like this logo too, only I think it could be refined some more to give it greater elegance.

Anything thats sucks must be mentioned ...  What do you honestly believe about the current logo(you are the expert)? Do you prefer it stays, and nobody  ask for a change.... or some of us get a little bit harsh ... but it changes?

A little tongue in cheek here but....The Flying Liberty Bell logo with Muse written in a font from the movie Blade Runner is...not good. The Pendragon3/Cass logo is much much better.

Edit: would much rather see this changed now than wait.

liondani .. why u think i'm creating alternative logo ideas? .. sure i'm thinking the complete CI can get reworked completely ..
but i'm trying to stay focus and offering helping hands ...

With complaining we won't convince them faster then creating alternative ways for them to go ..
