General Discussion / Re: OIL. Let's get this asset going.

wow...I wasn't aware of bitreserve...Although I would never trust my money and have this centralized counterparty risk

At this point in time, I'm not confident that Bitshares is any more trustworthy or secure than Bitreserve.

Obviously that is where we hope to end up, but the experimental nature of the Bitshares software and the relatively small network are very large risks for the average user, more so than the counter party risk of a VC-funded company in the U.S.  You're also likely to get a much better deal on "bitassets" at Bitreserve (in the short term at least).

I think it would benefit Bitshares greatly to open a dialogue with Bitreserve as opposed to dismissing them as the centralized alternative.

Is there any way to run the command line version of Bitshares on OS X?

General Discussion / Re: Can someone create a video on how to vote
« on: December 05, 2014, 03:16:50 pm »
I voted for delegates and still it says my account isn't voting with all of it's stake. How do I verify that I'm voting with all my stake, can I divide my stake percentages for certain delegates, how does one vote properly, what happens if you don't vote, these questions need to be answered in a video.

 +5%

This could be definitely be a lot clearer.

I get the same "not voting with all your stake" message and I just haven't been motivated enough to look into it.

I would stop using Wordpress entirely.  It's clunky and IMO somewhat unprofessional.

Check out https://www.wire.com/

Simple and elegant, but get's the point across.

Yes using wordpress is not a good idea. It is unprofessional and wordpress can also be easily hacked.

Wordpress just looks cheap, no matter how much you dress it up with fancy templates.

https://www.wire.com/ looks really great on mobile too.  I really recommend checking it out and modeling that UI.

Interesting that they use the bitgold nomenclature...

General Discussion / Re: Feed Statistics

Looks like there's an issue with the feed from bitsharesblocks.com so I stopped the trigger from updating any further.  There's just about a weeks worth of data.

@Bytemaster - let me know if you think this Google Sheet and script is useful and I can send you over the original project.

What's the issue? Seems to be working for me.

BTC and GOLD feeds are missing, http://joelooney.org/btsblocks/test.php
Indeed, found an issue and fixed it, should work now.

Great!  I've started collecting data again in a new spreadsheet...

Calculated min and max feed to market price variances based on this past week's data...
