Since its currently profitable to cloud mine with Protoshares I'm talking with a cloud provider to make this easier. They have authorized me to give everyone a $200 credit to their account. I'll try to work on another guide this weekend. I'm seeing if we can also get the basic mining software preinstalled. Payment with Bitcoin is on the table, but that is going to take some luck and talking to.
I'm just curious to how many people would be willing to sign up? Also how much would you be willing to spend on cloud mining if they offered US dollars vs Bitcoins?
-
I would like to sign up. But without knowing exactly what the worth of protoshares are at this moment and the cost of the cloud service i would like to see a good deal first regarding cpu cores vs usd :P
-
I would also be interested in this service, kind of tough to find at the moment.
-
I would be interested, depends how much it costs though and what sort of performance we would get!
-
I'd be interested - testing against other cloud providers.

Why are you interested in cloud miners if you're so against botnets? Aren't cloud miners functionally doing the same thing as a botnet would to individual profits?
-
I'm interested. I can do either BTC or dollars, but I'd expect to see a lower cost for BTC given the obvious reasons (no chargebacks, future value, etc).

Maybe he's one of those people who see things in black and white. Like, "stealing is wrong", even if it's just cents worth of electricity.
-
I'm in. Do you know the price range? And how soon can you get the how to guide published?

I am interested in the credit. Outside the credit, maybe 50-100

Thanks for the responses guys. Not sure yet, which is why I will try to run some benchmarks tomorrow, and give you guys some actual numbers to work with.
-
definitely interested. Running one myself at the moment thought it is still in testing stages and the overhead is more than return. lol...

I'm in. :D

Well botnets involve taking control of someone else's computer without there permission. Not really the same as cloud computing.

More info and costs related to that task would be appreciated!
-
That would be a nice trial, if prices are right could be worth the investment.
-
Count me in. Please tell them to be competitive with amazon spot.
-
seems nice as long as profit margins are decent
I'll be in for sure
-
I'm interested.
-
nice, i am also in., tried it with a provider here in Bulgaria, but its not worth it with this provider.
-
Definitely interested....Please keep us posted.
-
I would sign up if the numbers made sense
-
Guide will be out this evening.
-
would definitely be interested. If the margins would be profitable still.
-
I might be interested depending on margins an minimum price to buy in
