I'm posting this guide up here. It's in LibreOffice .odt format but can be opened in Wordpad on Windows 8 as well. If needed I could convert it to a .pdf

the pool used was beeeeer.org's pool and ptsminer.

Pimu7pvvbCJF9LKsCUw2ZUb2pdHRzLLjBa for Donations and I might do a more recent one for Coyote pool (maybe).  8)

Just an update to bring this up to current:

You can use SSE4 option to get around the core dump issue.

Example: ./ptsminer <your wallet address> 16 27 sse4

Don't know why anyone hasn't updated on this issue now that it's fixed.

You forgot to mention you will need sudo apt-get install yasm and the name of the zip file you want is ptsminer-master.zip NOT ptspool-master.zip.

Also I got a core dump error running ./ptsminer with my wallet address. :(

is this thing crunching another very large block?

im also at .32xxx PTS with no payout and no updates on new blocks.

Yes this is exactly what I was experiencing too, it took hours for the blocks to start confirming again. New blocks were piling up.

Cute, I get to 0.32 and the pool stops confirming shares :(

I suck at programming math, otherwise I'd make one myself.

If there were more active trading sites and the value of PTS fluctuated greatly like BTC, then this might be an issue (especially in the future)...
If the pool crashes and looses all the data that's up to 24 hours processing time gone.....

But with the constant rate and good payout levels, coyote is a great pool.

Hmm, Well I'll have a look at it but I don't like leaving dust in other pools unless beeeeer wants to give me an early payout. :)

Coyote pool is up almost 99% of the time and has no fees.

Yeah but I'm not crazy about the 1 payout per day. No thanks.

Well I'm only getting 0.10 from my Phenom II x 6 1090T Black Edtion after 24 hours looks like this was a waste of processor load. :(

You got a bad pool.

Bad pool? what others are there? all the other pools I've looked at are either down or want too much in fees. The only pool that I found that was up and working was beeeeer.org

Are there are alternate download links for the client? It seems the server is not responding to download requests.
