Holy cow BTS loans at nearly 2%. There must be some massive shorts out there. Looking forward to them covering.  ;D

Wow. Thank you to everybody involved, very inspiring. It's good to see all the different people brought together by a vision.

The setting for the interview with Thom was also a nice touch. Overall everybody came across very likable, good job.  :)

General Discussion / Re: The 2.0 launch - lessons learned
« on: October 16, 2015, 03:19:31 pm »
Good points on things learned.. UI is only a framework and rightly so.. the refer program is to bring in competition.. now the stage has been set.. cue the heros to appear with various wallet solutions, and more on/off ramps. For now we just need to break in this amazing network.

Exchanges and volume. We have to reach out to the exchanges in a professional and coordinated way.

But first we need to have a GUI that looks and feels like an exchange and not a BTS wallet with a mediocre exchange page attached to it.
So I guess I'd agree with Ander: we waited for 2.0 for so long and now we need to wait again, this time for 2.1 which will offer a proper GUI.
Ideally available in two incarnations: (1) a BTS wallet with an integrated exchange and (2) an exchange with an integrated BTS wallet.

A little frustrating, but i think thats true.

Maybe moonstone can save us from that. (Or is that just wishful thinking?  :-\)

If you claimed your balances there, I don't think you can expect them to show up if you import the same 0.9.3c json into another wallet.

Yep. If you already claimed the funds in the full wallet make a backup of that ASAP.

Edit: nevermind, I just read the post above.

Technical Support / Re: "Password Incorrect"
« on: October 11, 2015, 07:15:57 pm »
No worries this has happened before. Although this problem has only appeared with old backups (pre 0.5 or something). Are you sure the backup you're trying to import is from 0.9.2?

Yes making a new backup is always a good idea.

What about voting? Could tx to yourself be made cheaper?

Sounds interesting, a special hangout would definitely be appreciated.

Could it really be happening before Christmas?  :P

If you have a backup just import it.

Some members have had problems with old backups. If it says something about invalid password you might have to install 0.5.3 import the backup and then upgrade to the current release.

Alternatively you can copy the BitShares folder with the wallet file, but I don't know where it is stored on OS X.

Thanks for the update.

I do believe that going forward it is going to make more sense for the project to wind up all the delegates/witnesses and then submit a single worker proposal for the specific funding. This was what I originally promised also. Do you feel we should take a different direction?

I agree with that. Although running one witness would be fine imo. The rest should be done with help of the worker proposal. Multiple witnesses per person would undermine (pun intended  :P) all the effort to separate the two roles of workers and witnesses.

General Discussion / Re: Kickstarting the bitEUR
« on: September 19, 2015, 01:52:54 pm »
The problem is that current rules for shorting are just too complicated and/or not properly lined out somewhere  + barely working wallet + 30 day expiration thingy. I have high hopes for 2.0 in this regard.

Personally I would like to short some bitEUR but due to said reasons I just find it too risky currently.
