I don't know if I'm imagining it though, but it seemed to take longer this time.. it just sat there for a while before crashing instead of doing it instantly. On Windows 8 there was no difference either.what about this? https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=6179.0

I installed version 0.2.3 on Windows 7... still crashes, but this time it gives a "BitsharesX has stopped working" message instead of just closing without anything popping up.And the uninstaller works now, it didn't in 0.2.1.
Everyone please try this version and let us know if the crashing is fixed: https://github.com/dacsunlimited/qt_wallet/releases/tag/v0.2.3.1
