Id definitely like to see if someone at the conference can bring a laptop and mic so we can stream it through the mumble. Hm....

Midday bump for those who might like to listen.  Or...  the second option is to wait and listen later when I put up the notes so you can skip to key elements.  There is no third option.  :(

This show has a lot of commentary on the market functionality, how wallets work in a bit better detail,  thoughts on cross chain trading, etc.

Great. Could these be posted right after they are recorded? Why wait?

To be honest, because we are basically doing this in a volunteer capacity while living and working real life.  It takes some time because Gamey largely helps us and juggles with editing and a number of other tasks.  On average, they are posted about a week after they are done.

With that said, I am planning to set up a few delegates for beyond bitcoin and will use them to help fund some more work in a few different areas.  A full-time editor will be a good find when that happens.

Of course!  Anyone who attends or even downloads the content is allowed to use it free of charge.  This is intended to eventually be an outlet for cryptojournalists and cryptocommunities to come together around Developers, ask questions, record and report on answers while keeping barriers low.

Great. Could these be posted right after they are recorded? Why wait?

tl;dr

I've never audio edited until now.  We could post the show as is, but I would rather edit it or have someone who puts some care into it.  I put in a goofy intro and move on.  That could be more professional but to be honest podcasting isn't my thing so I'm just meh have a little fun.  I have no presence I wish to promote.  So the main editing is removing a lot of long pauses and just what would be considered dead air time. There are lots of long pauses etc...  Dan was fielding all questions, many with no preperation.  They are hard questions being answered.  Then other random unrelated stuff I sometimes remove etc to make flow better.

So as you edit, you can't write down time slots while editing because removing audio shifts everything going forward. (Maybe there is a way to do it with audio notes?)  So once it is edited I go back and have to pay enough attention to write down the questions and their timing.  Not to mention audacity crashes too much on my linux laptop.  blah blah, I try to keep up on all of them but this really isn't my thing.

So once that is done then you need to upload it, and post it on a few forums.  All that for not even many listeners.  If someone got a real editor that'd be great.  The show could easily be made into high enough quality for LTB Network, but that'd require a real editor, etc.  Thats no slight to LTB Network or even an assumption Adam would even want it, but with shows like this one there is easily enough material for someone to just re-ask the questions and ask some more generalized questions.

Annotation may be useful for some, but sound  is what I am after. Would be nice to listen to show right away after recording.

You should show up at show and listen to it live.  Eventually we may have a website that simulcasts it so you don't have to use mumble.

ill likely soon be setting up some delegates to pay bounties for BBx.  So please keep that in mind moving forward. It is time to begin using DPOS so the operation is sustainable so any help getting delegates voted in will go to paying for these things

Honestly not that bad of an idea joke or not.  I think I'll be adding braille first though.

I agree with you.  Let me explain how the vision is going at this point in time.

The server is there.  We set up the hangouts and Gamey largely volunteers his time to record and edit it for us.  I think he does a wonderful job and to be honest...with a baby, school, work and this I do not know if it could be done without him.  Thank you Gamey.  This is the perfect opportunity to say this so thank you

As for listening to them a week after they happen--if someone came by and really wanted to become part of the team I am pretty sure another person would be welcomed.  Literally anyone can record the high fidelity audio in the server, effectively making it possible to capture the raw, unedited stuff.  Nothing is stopping someone who wants to have it released earlier from attending, participating in discussion (or just listening), recording, editing and polishing it up...then publishing it under their own name.

Nothing is stopping others from using the server to schedule their own meetups and hangouts either.  Literally anyone who wants to create content about their project can do it this way...and with none of the potential issues with Google.

I am in one of my "capstone classes" toward the end of my degree right now so I've been busy, but I plan on getting delegates up and running soon to hopefully help pay people to help who volunteer(ed) for this project.  I think it is the least I can do.

Anyway, man.  Thanks for the question and I hope you will someday stop by and have your voice be heard in the hangout(s).  8)
