you could delete the old peers by deleting the "peers_leveldb" folder next to your "wallets" folder in %APPDATA%
-
I deleted the peers. Nothing happened. Not connected and I see some zeros in my accounts which get me scared everytime I open the wallet...
-
suddenly it appears to downloading.....let's see...

you money is safe as long as you have a backup of the wallet ..
not sure why it's not connecting though .. can you keep it running for some hours?
you might also try in console
network_add_node euseednode.minebitshares.com:1776
network_add_node 178.62.157.161:1776
network_add_node 80.240.133.79:1777

I re-imported my wallet to get 4.22 running smoothly. Not sure if that's required, but that's what finally worked for me, a fresh start.

The wallet and it's accounts are independent of the network code .. you can run the client as a node without having any wallet at all ..
anyway .. good to see it's working again .. I too have connection issues from time to time and they resolve be simply restarting the client ..
still cutting edge alpha software :)
