When I try to log into my Windows Bitshare client with my password, It seems like it's trying to log in but then nothing happens. This is the same behavior with the correct or wrong password. When I select File | Export Wallet it does prompt me for a filename but once I give it one and press ok the software crashes. I've tried to figure out what causes this. I;ve tried several version including completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Long story short the same behavior can be replicated with any installed version using my wallet folder %AppData%\BitShares\wallets\default. Does anyone have an idea what happened?
Thanks

Do you have any recent backups you could try restoring?
Do you have any recent automatic backups in "%AppData%\BitShares\wallets\.backups" that you could try restoring?

I do actually have a backup from a while back. The BTS are in there even those sent after the backup was made. Interestingly this is not true with some BitUSD and BitCNY. Why is that. Honestly it is not a lot of money I lost here but I feel this really shouldn't have happened and there should be a way to recover it.

Try the "wallet_regenerate_keys" command as stated here: http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Best_Practices/RecoverFunds#Regenerate_account_transaction_keys
You can try increasing the number if you have hundreds of transactions in your wallet.

That actually worked to recover my USD and CNY balances. Thank you very much!
FYI, I only got it to work with the original backup file using the in-app console feature.
