Title: wallet password surrender to get BTSX, is it safe?
Post by: stuartcharles on July 24, 2014, 06:03:15 am
I just claimed some of my btsx, before i gave my wallet password i changed it, uploaded my btsx and then changed it again. Is that safe 100% I guess the system is now holding my private key so that doesn't feel great.
Any advise.

Next step would be generate new address/account and send any remaining funds out of that address. If concerned about potential compromise of that private key?

Edit:clarity

seems sensible belts and braces security. Thanks

Any chance of an answer from one of the devs on this,
1. is there a risk external to my system to password and private key from to an imported wallet?
2. Is this information stored anywhere, encrypted or not.
thanks in antisipation
