I believe you have to add a new (2nd) key, then you'll be able to delete the original one.

Hi, probably the best start would be to file an issue in https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/issues

Please do file the issue!

General Discussion / Re: Dan's Next Project - EOS Rears its Head

That doesn't really address any of permie's concerns (concerns that I also share), though. I'd like to believe Dan is willing to look out for the best interests of all his creations, but...I have my doubts at this point.

:-\

Just like he looked out for the best interest of Bitshares' bitUSD by creating Steem Dollars?

He is so ashamed of himself that he won't even come here. I think that answers your question...

Stan championing the previous Bitshares merger is also quite funny. So when will BTS Vote and BTS DNS be active on the BTS 2.0 chain Stan?  ::)

Do you really think the BTS community is going to fall for the bait and switch a second time?

I really wanted BTS Vote... and DNS. And Dan's 'undivided attention'.

Interesting,

I'm amazed that Bitshares doesn't have bitETH or bitPLATINUM or bitLTC. So many basics missing!

Very good, Bitcrab. Thanks for bringing this up. I support the proposal. Consistency across all smartcoins will make the entire platform easier to understand for newcomers.

Agreed.  Similar bitassets should have the same rules.

But doesn't consistency across all smart coins include bitOIL, bitSILVER etc. - and all fiats treated equally.

Bitshares needs to be bitAsset agnostic.

Let Ronny have his input.

The way I see it, the referral system is absolutely wonderful and should not be undermined. The idea that 50% going to the network rather than 20% meaning a larger network take in absolute terms is spurious. If that juicy 80% entices more of us to recruit new users, then the network's 20% will be be a bigger number; a relatively small slice of an immense pie is more pie than half a nano pie.

Some sleazy businesses like Plus500 spend hundreds of dollars for each new user they recruit. If Ronny or I are going to spend $500 to recruit 10 new bitshares users, we'll both want to be personally remunerated for that private marketing spend, as a prerequisite for having that marketing budget in the first place.

If people want to pay yield to bitAssets, and the reserve pool is heaving with spare BTS, then you could simply pay the yield using that, for as long as it lasts. Of course, that would then drive fear of holding BTS. However, I do wonder if this billion BTS in reserve might be too large a number in itself to give much confidence to BTS longs.

Desperately trying to join the liquidity party.

I've been trying to install the BTS Bots Android app via PlayStore on an old Samsung. I'm getting error -103, which apparently can be fixed according to what i've gleaned on stackoverflow.

Stan's buying again!! 2.25 million more shares just yesterday. (Side note: can't wait for Stealth, when all this activity can be completely private.  :P)

With Stan buying, Stealth coming soon, the awesome power of the 3,300 TX/S stress test, and the recent rumblings around Dan's STEEM departure...I'm feeling pretty damn bullish right about now.

It's gonna be a good summer lads.

 :D

Nice! Too bad I just sold 75% of my stake 5 days ago. Mainly due to lack of any clear direction and leadership, but also because the DEX can not trade other major coins without the same risk as centralized exchanges.

If we fix that then I am all in again.

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

There's almost zero counterparty risk with trading bitAssets.

I have a stupid question...

I opened up a 2nd bitshares account, now I can't get back into the first. Is there a way to 'log out' or combine accounts?

Cryptocurrency is fiddly.

I presume you're using OpenLedger.info, rather than the client download from bitshares.org etc.?

I wouldn't mind competing with Blocksign, or otherwise compelling them to apply their methodology to the Bitshares blockchain.
