GPU for ATI chipsets?
I am the author of this binary, and I promise I did not put any malware inside. But please do not trust me, remove any valuable assets from the mining machine and monitor its network traffic and file activity.

That really depends on exchange rates, a foresighted miner would want to diversify I guess. Economics for GPU farm owners is also different than for cloud miners: they essentially only spend money on power and can switch (back) to LTC at any moment. So let us see how it plays out.10hpm on 7870 and 20hpm on 280X, this can be slightly increased with overclocking. The coin is pretty much GPU-hostile, just as planned :)
Glad to hear it - I wonder if it will be profitable for GPU miners, or if they will stick to other coins. I wonder too what share of the overall hashrate you'll capture.
Anyway, congrats!

Is it possible to use 2 GPUs with this miner?Yes, by default it mines on all suitable cards in the system it can find.

awesome, can someone post proof screenshots from gpu mining? like 280x or 7870

Could you please release Windows GPU miner? Any estimations on its delivery? In a few hours, it is almost ready. AMD does something funny with allocating GPU memory on Windows in its drivers, I will release as soon as I find and implement a workaround.

I'm refreshing every 5 minutes for that GPU miner for windows :PPerhaps you could just try to run Ubuntu from livecd/liveusb? Because I am not close to deployment yet.
This binary miner doesn't work on CentOS 6.5Would you please quote the error message?
UPDATE:During initialization, did it tell it is using 1-pass or 2-pass algo? Because 2-pass is for cards with 2G RAM and is slower than 1-pass that is for everything higher.
2 cards seem to work better in total:

Well when rig miners hear about this were going to see a huge inflow of MMC into the market. Supply is going to be overflowing the market and MMC if were lucky will still be worth more than a cent.New mint inflow is constant no matter what the total hpm. I do not think rig owners are more likely to mine and dump than botnet owners are.

Thank you so much for sharing. While I could get rid of openssl dependencies, libc is next to impossible to replace. I got about 22hpm with 7970 with Windows Miner but then it crashed after about 5mins. Clocks went from 1100/1150 -> 300/150... Need to reboot to see can I get it back online lolWould you please provide the error message during the crash, if any?
This seems too low, as I get ~9.5 on 7870GE without overclocking (about 10 in Linux). Did you notice if it says '2-pass algo' or '1-pass algo' on start?Guys, windows miner is ready for testing: http://mmcdl.1gh.com/mc2-1gh-win.zip

I'm getting 8-10 hpm on two 7950 3Gb each. Profitability is the same as mining scrypt crypto at the moment.

I'm just discussed it in IRC and found out that miner reports hpm separately for each card. So it means that I'm getting almost 20 hpm in total. Am I right?

http://gyazo.com/0ef49688413755280533e3f0110ecf51What version of Catalyst do you run? I'd suggest either upgrading to latest or downgrading to 12.10 (the bug I am struggling with is this one: http://devgurus.amd.com/message/1288143#1288143)
that's the error that i get, how can i fix this ?
Well, MMC algorithm uses cores and memory in a very different pattern than scrypt, but core/memory frequency also affects hpm significantly. For my 7870 best settings I could find are 1080/1250.Yes, but I would expect more hpm from 7950.This seems too low, as I get ~9.5 on 7870GE without overclocking (about 10 in Linux). I'm running them on low voltage (1.125) with 850 clock. I'm getting 1.05 mh/s on scrypt.
What does "wpm" mean?It is 'works per minute'. Both wpm and hpm converge to the same value over time, but wpm converges faster.
There were no error message when crashed. Could you please try upgrading Catalyst? 13.x series upto 13.12 have various problems.
Using Catalyst 13.6. Any way to restart gpu / drivers after crash without rebooting whole PC?

Do you perhaps have other OpenCL SDKs installed besides AMD one? I am looking for a way to find out quiclky, not sure if 'cgminer -n' lists them.

Thank you, so this is the problem - my miner uses platform 0 (hardcoded) to find devices, and in your case it is Intel SDK which of course only has Intel CPUs. I will fix that. Meanwhile you could try uninstalling it (unless you do OpenCL development on Intel of course :) )Do you perhaps have other OpenCL SDKs installed besides AMD one? 13.12 is the same, downgrading isn't an option for me, since i have 280x cardsOne more question, do you have GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS set? There were no error message when crashed. Just noticed that clocks went down and only rebooting helps. Not that I know of, even in Linux when it hangs, it hangs (but I believe I have all code problems causing hangups fixed to this moment). Could you please try upgrading Catalyst? 13.x series upto 13.12 have various problems.
Using Catalyst 13.6. Any way to restart gpu / drivers after crash without rebooting whole PC?

The root cause of the problem is, your card has 3G onboard, but for some reason the driver won't let me allocate 1G in one piece (which is necessary for coin's PoW). I am setting GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 and GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=95 right in the miner code, this helps in most cases, but in your case somehow it does not. Do you by any chance use multiple displays on the card?

Same here....... mining MMC with both CPUs and GPUs :D Stopped GPU altcoin mining for some time.
Those of you using the linux GPU miner, do you also have crashes or is it only windows miner?Linux GPU miner is very stable.
For windows, I think this might help with crashes: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487368.aspx#E2
Or, in more human language, explained here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654624706695152/
Would anybody test that and tell us if it has helped?
In Windows, you don't need SDK actually unless you develop OpenCL apps. Catalyst installs all bits required to run them. For windows, I think this might help with crashes: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487368.aspx#E2

I am having same driver crash problems on my 2 rigs. Both are on 12.8. Third rig with 290 working without any driver crash issues.
I tried following on one of rigs with 12.8 drivers:
1) Uninstalled all AMD software
2) Installed 13.9
3) Miner worked all right, so I though lets install SDK now (2.9) -------- > Started miner, only to find out that same driver problem.
4) Uninstalled SDK 2.9 and did system Rest.
5) Started miner again.
Its been over 12 minutes and so far miner is working good. Will wait an hour to try same on other rig with 12.8 drivers.
Can others try it?

Any way we could get a miner that allows a video card with 1-1.5GB to run? Or is there away to alter the current one on our own?Well, I have a version of kernel that does not need RAM at all, but it performs at slightly above 1hpm on 7870. This is only viable approach for (huge) ASIC designs :) To mine this coin effectively, 1.5G is the bare minimum, and OS takes it toll in available memory too.
Thanks,
I have two 7950's I would like to point at your pool, I'm not at my apt yet or I would try them out now.17..20 hpm each.
Does any one have an idea what my expected hash rate should be?
Thanks!

Any idea what to do ?
Cannot really tell anything about APU yet.. The miner does not verify what card returns as solutions (to reduce its dependencies and CPU load), so if it returns mess, it sends mess. Windows 7 64bit, 2GB RAMI'd guess Windows needs more RAM (virtual) to map the required videoram. Perhaps you could try increasing the swap to 4-6G and maybe temporarily move RAM from another righ to try with a bigger amount? Actually I think the best solution in your case is to run Ubuntu from liveusb and mine there, in Linux system RAM is not related to on-device video buffers.I am still getting http://gyazo.com/9dc5c394e730b551a4775d5679595e22 despite everything i tried. What OS do you run, and what amount of RAM these systems have?

I have checked, and there is no reason for timeouts too, the pool is not currently overloaded or under ddos. Does you hashrate displayed on the site match your hashrate in the miner? If yes, then timeouts are false negatives, nothing to worry about.

I'm using laptop and haven't OC'ed. Yesterday my hpm (shown in the miner) was over 3.5 and now it's under 2.5. I'll also noticed my fan isn't spinning as fast as usually. I guess I'll try reboot if that fixes the problem.
hpm on the site goes from 1.5 to 5.5, should I call that a match?
I downloaded the GPU client for windows. Seems to be clear: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/b9b350315051de4c55abb4ca5bda03170613b91d/44c2893c0e9eb888b5a5dc062582202460a31a82I will ask 1gh to add them indeed, but only after I am done with bug fixing. So far it is a moving target, do not rely on these hashes. Hashes also make only so much sense as you are downloading from our own site and not from some filestorage that could be compromised.
My hashes are:

md5: a26cb33038b04c344011bd08e7f7246e
are they correct?

I don't feel like setting up all rigs from scratch to get them to platform 0 so I'm desperately waiting for this update :)
a gpu miner for nvidia? for CUDA?Not yet, maybe in 2-3 weeks.
Hi,This must be statistical fluctuations, as I have hardcoded setting GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE to 95 (100 in the upcoming version) in the miner and global envvars have no effect on it.
Firsty, great work reorder! Excellent miner.
Do you know what is the windows 7 x64 default GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE, becouse i entered 95 like I sow in this thread and lost about 2 HPM-s on both 280x and 290 cards. Both were running at 20 hpm and now 18.
I cant find the old heap size, tried everything, please help.
Thanks

With new miner, my r9 290 GPU usage stays at 100% longer, before it was constantly falling to 0, now it falls to 0 every 30-45 sec.(and then back to 100)
When i was changing GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE before, when i runed your miner the 280x memory value was also changing now its:
280x: 3059744768
290: 3221225472
Is there maybe a way to get the 280x to the 3221225472 mem?
I have updated it for real, updated miner zipfile must be 6129065 bytes in size, please check if it is in your case.Guys,
I have updated windows miner. Now it detects (does its best to) AMD OpenCL platform and uses it, and has some memory config detection improvements. Please redownload from the same place and report any further problems you may encounter.
reorder it appears the same version of the windows gpu miner is still on mmc.1gh.com did you update it there?
Did your hashrate also increase with the increased load?Guys,
I have updated windows miner. Now it detects (does its best to) AMD OpenCL platform and uses it, and has some memory config detection improvements. Please redownload from the same place and report any further problems you may encounter.
Regarding displayed memory, it makes no real difference, as soon as the miner detects >2G, it uses a faster 1-pass algorithm, and that's to it.

Yes, it did a bit, now it is:
280x: 17.2hpm 19.2wpm --> wpm was 18
290: 20.7hpm 19.3wpm --> wpm was 18
280x is fluctuating between 85-99.
reorder seems to be running here, no real obvious improvementsThe fix is for people who had troubles starting the miner, if you had it already running, basically nothing is changed.
reorder any reason why an amd HD 5800 series gpu w/ 2GB would not work? I run the batch and it just gives me rejects..I can imagine some architecture-related reasons, but it would be a pure speculation, as I only have access to 7xxx and higher to test.

So, I guess, you have nothing to comlain about :) Just keep an eye on temperatures/fan speed, though.
is the windows miner "stable"? I've been getting a crash after about 5mins or so. Even after applying the registry fix. What error message do you get, if any? Registry fix seems to help in most cases, did you reboot after applying it?
windows 8.1
AMD 7970
if that helps at all lol
i have only nvidia :(a gpu miner for nvidia? for CUDA?Not yet, maybe in 2-3 weeks.

the only error message is the "amd stopped working but recovered" message. However I did not restart after applying registry fix. I'm at wrk now so I won't be able to test until I get home but I'll let you know! Thanks for quick response!

Drop your voltage to 1050 or -100 in afterburner, had to for my temps as well. The card is nice and stable at 58c for me.

What might be causing this? Hardware errors? Overloaded pool? Junk card? (I actually really don't know whether this is a good "mining" card.)
¿is it reliable? has someone already been paid? You can find payouts on http://mmc.1gh.com/payouts and look them up in the blockchain.
6xxx series seem to behave like this: return not doing any actual work and not returning error code. Unfortunately I have no such card or access to one to debug this. Is this in Windows, and if yes, could you try in Ubuntu (you can boot liveusb to not disturb your main system)?
I have two R9 290s on a 1000 watt power supply that was mining script for over a month. Why does my video card make a chirp noise when I run the GPU miner. I tried it on one GPU only same problem. The temperatures are way lower with this GPU miner than with scrypt. Any suggestions?
Thanks

The temperatures are way lower with this GPU miner than with scrypt. Any suggestions? The miner's algorithm puts the load on card unevenly, there are spikes when power consumption is maxed out followed by a lower consumption intervals. Hissing sounds happen during these spikes, power lines throttles make them when the current changes sharply.

Just noticed the top miner has 5000 HPM!
Either he has some big rigs or quite a botnet.
so I have an amd 6850 and it says that no suitable devices were foundThe 6850 has only 1GB GDDR5 graphic card memory which is not enough. I have the same problem with my old 7750 :)
I have 8 GB of RAM

Well, I can confirm it's not working on Cayman arch's very well. My 6970 is getting nothing but rejects, whilst my 7950 TF3's are speeding along beside it on the same board.Just enumerate device numbers you want to mine on (X in Worker:X string) after your address on the commandline, space-separated.
Anyone know offhand what the command prompt syntax in Windoze is for disabling that gpu? The readme isn't quite explicit enough in that regard. Thanks ;)
when I go to the 1gh website to see how my GPU miners are doing I realised that I am mining at 40 hpm but I have 0 unconfirmed Memory coins. Then again I have been only mining for 20 minutes. The pool is RBPPS, please wait for a block to be found to get credited.
Any suggestions?

The package for the cards, at least, says they have 2GB onboard memory. What am I missing? Linux newbie, here . . . how do I get the full memory recognized by Ubuntu and/or this miner?

My 6970 is getting nothing but rejects, whilst my 7950 TF3's are speeding along beside it on the same board.Just enumerate device numbers you want to mine on (X in Worker:X string) after your address on the commandline, space-separated.
Anyone know offhand what the command prompt syntax in Windoze is for disabling that gpu? The readme isn't quite explicit enough in that regard. Thanks ;)
Would you please post a sample output? 1002 is a strange number, they are enumerated from zero, you don't have 1000 cards in your system, do you? :)As you said i input device numbers 1002-6719(Cayman) still rejects...Well, I can confirm it's not working on Cayman arch's very well. So, your devices 0 and 1 are not suitable for MMC, you have to start miner like this if you have 3 7950s in this system:I was wrong?Would you please post a sample output? 1002 is a strange number, they are enumerated from zero, you don't have 1000 cards in your system, do you? :)As you said i input device numbers 1002-6719(Cayman) still rejects...Well, I can confirm it's not working on Cayman arch's very well. Guys,
it appears that 5xxx and 6xxx series do not work with the miner, please do not waste your time trying it. I am looking into the problem, hopefully it can be solved, but no promises yet.
Hi,Short answer - no. You can only try overclocking, but the algorithm is not tunable by its design.
Are there any flags I can add to the .bat file to maximise hpm for my 7950? Sorry if this is a nooby question.

could you add an option to control the vents rotation on cardPerhaps, in future versions. Driver's autotune might work just as well in most cases: card's cores are not always loaded to 100%, during periods when most time is spent accessing memory, cores have a chance to cool down.
thanks in advance
It depends on both core and memory clock. Like with scrypt, there is a sweet spot you could find tuning both frequencies (but not the same one as for scrypt). In case you wonder, for my 7870GE it is 1080/1250.Hi,Short answer - no. You can only try overclocking, but the algorithm is not tunable by its design.

Thanks for the quick response. Does the algorithm favor memory clock speed?

Some people have reported a much cooler operation than with scrypt, and a lower power consumption.could you add an option to control the vents rotation on cardPerhaps, in future versions. Hello,BAMT is 32bit only I believe. Miner binary is 64bit.

Since aticonfig doesnt allow me to control the fan at the 290 cards, I use now following solution to protect against the temperature run to 94 degree.
I first start cgminer and when card reaches arround 76 degree and 60-70% fan rotation I quickly switch to memory coin miner and the fan stays at that rotation speed.
It seems to me the auto speed of the cards is set way too low around 43 % fan rotation.

your system is lacking free RAM to allocate required amount of VRAM on the card. Your options are either adding more system RAM or switching to Ubuntu.Hi I have two Gigabyte AMD 7970 GPU and the issue I am having is that it will mine for a few hours and then activity for the GPU's on the AMD VISION Engine Control Center goes down to 0%. When it is mining activity is 99%. Then I look over at the command prompt to see if it shows any sort of error and it doesn't show any sort of errorI'd suspect card hanging due to overheat here.
It just shows what the last share was like the hpm and at what time.
Is anyone having this issue or have any idea what is going on? Also clock settings for GPUs are 975 and 1255 for memory.

When (if) the card hangs, it does not tell miner something went wrong, so the miner can only sit there and wait for response. Perhaps you have to force your fans to always run at 90-100% speed.Hi I have two Gigabyte AMD 7970 GPU and the issue I am having is that it will mine for a few hours and then activity for the GPU's on the AMD VISION Engine Control Center goes down to 0%. It was off for 7 hours while I slept and the mining program was open it just wasn't mining. Shouldn't it start back up on its own after 7 hours of "cooling?"
I went in and manually closed the mining program and restarted it again. It just gets really annoying because I have to keep doing this every few hours.
Any recommendation as to what can be done to stop this? Thanks for your response!!

I also have some problems with my 7970s. I can only get 55% activity with my 4 GPUs. I get 14 hpm and 13 wpm with each card. I should get 19-20 with these cards. Is there any way to run this program with full activity ? How can I fix this problem ? If I use CGMiner, I can get maximum performance but with this program I only get half of my performance. What should I do ? (I already tried registery fix)Please try running 4 miner instances, one for each card.

Yes, I am doing like that. I am running with 4 different miner instances like 0-1-2-3 with different .bat's. But still no change :/
Regarding activity, the algorithm prevents full utilization of cores: they have to spend significant time loading/storing values to VRAM which is terribly slow comparing to just calculations. Besides, load distribution is uneven over time, this is why you observe the sawtoothed load chart. Still, the hpm seems too low for 7970, any chance you could try Linux?
No, pool's share difficulty has not changed. Besides, hpm/wpm does not depend on it.Yes, I am doing like that. I am running with 4 different miner instances like 0-1-2-3 with different .bat's. But still no change :/

Is there any relation with increased difficulty and hpm ? Now difficulty is 0.00006042 is there any chance low hpm because of rising diff ?
There is a 20 - 30% drop in performance for me since yesterday
is this due to increasing difficulty? or do I have issues with my cards?
Guys,ah ok many thanks
We are experiencing overload in some of our subsystems, this is why your hpm has dropped. It is not related to increased difficulty.
Things will get back to normal in under an hour, stay tuned!
It was off for 7 hours while I slept and the mining program was open it just wasn't mining. Shouldn't it start back up on its own after 7 hours of "cooling?"
I went in and manually closed the mining program and restarted it again. It just gets really annoying because I have to keep doing this every few hours.

also it's been an hour not mining anything :-\You mean, your shares don't get submitted, or is it something unrelated?
Yes, we are having growth pains on the moment indeed. They are temporary, problems should be gone in an hour.
No, it is for real. Since almost blocks are found by pools now, you can check other pools and see that they are found there instead.Yes, we are having growth pains on the moment indeed. They are temporary, problems should be gone in an hour.
i hope that you dont have any backdoor in this gpu stuff.. first you are taking many users in and then you just say "back in few hour" ... while you are mining to your own wallet? i am only hoping that i am not right

I'm getting now 19 hpm with my 7970s. It looks like fixed. Thank you for your efforts. BTW difficulty rising too fast, it looks like we can't earn after 1 or 2 weeks later Also price looks down on Bter :/
Indeed. I think this should probably show that the coin isn't GPU resistant enough, in the time we've had GPU mining the difficulty has increased by about 50%. And that's just as a result of our pool, with r200 and 7000 series cards. Imagine if there was an open source miner with full opencl/cuda supportGuys, is the situation still the same for you or has your hpm recovered?

As a person who was cpu mining MMC until the gpu miner was released, I completely agree. It's depressing watching the price & profitability plummet for no good reason other than people undercutting prices for a quick sale.
In the long term, those morons are cutting everyone's, including their own golden goose's neck, and destabilizing the currency in the process with their short sightedness.
The funny thing is, you can see the same with the majority of alt cryptos ever since the news stories broke in the media. The general public saw nothing but a get rich quick scheme in their mind, and have no idea of the market consequences, & don't care about ruining the value or destroying the public confidence in the currency with their grab for the instant payoff... >:(
Tartemption, thanks for that. When I input the first line it says unrecognized option '--git'. Is that the correct way to do this, just type into terminal one line at a time?
Sorry for my ignorance, I'm new to Linux.

It doesn't help that the 1gh pool is suggesting to use a bter.com wallet address for deposits. That just enables dumping the coin. The other part that is hurting this coin is the fact that it's sitting on one exchange at the moment. The good thing is that this coin isn't a copy paste. It's not associated with a meme and its not being pumped and dumped. This will be a long term coin. That being said it does need to gain traction in the crypto world. Good thing is there will be a CEO that will be responsible for that.

Mine seems to be stable now in terms of display driver not crashing however does anyone have the problem where the computer becomes unsable? For example every 1-2 mins the computer will freeze and then unfreeze after 30-45secs.This coin stresses your GPU way stronger than cgminer coins do by its very design. There is no 'intencity' setting because each hash takes a lot of time to calculate and cannot be interrupted in the middle (compare several hashes per minute for MMC and hundreds thousands of hashes per second in scrypt cgminer).
On CGminer i can make intensity 12 so the computer is usable and it still mines. is there a way to do the same here?

Guys,
The market on bter is so thin that anyone with spare 10 BTC can easily make a rollercoaster show for our amusement. Just vote for MMC on Cryptsy!
Regarding pool operation, please report if you notice hpm degradation. Our total HPM grows steadily and we need to know when it becomes worse for individual miners as early as possible.

I've got some hpm degradation. Used to be in the 20-22 consistently, now it's 16-18 hpm. Restart seems to return it to normal, at least for a little while (5 mins so far). I'll keep monitoring.
Edit: Still going strong after 45 mins.
Better results in Linux is normal, as it seems: with 7870 I have 10.5 or so in Linux and just 9.4 in Windows. Must be related to different driver models.Guys,

i have 1-2 lower hpm now what i had in few hours ago, and for some reason in windows i cant get 100% gpu usage? http://puu.sh/68jXl.png in linux with same card i can get 21-22hpm, in windows 17-18hpm and drivers crashing all the time
edit: now back 99-100% usage but still 17-18hpm in windows while in linux 21-22
Any progression on vliw architecture? I'm guessing it's not going to be an easy modification.Sorry, nothing so far. Working on a general optimization, looks like it is possible to crank a bit more hpm, but it is oh so complicated.
is it possible to add list from own clients connected? i mean http://mmc.1gh.com/user?wallet=addresshere, currently there is HPM from every machine, it would be more easier to see invidual machines if those are listed. You mean, with registration, passwords and everything? It is possible, but not necessarily convenient for everyone. This tool https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1929.0 will be probably a better solution when it is modified to handle multiple addresses.

I have it in plans, but definitely after Nvidia (or Nvidia-compatible) build. Do not expect from VLIW cards any decent performance with MemoryCoin though, something on par with CPU perhaps, or even worse.Any progression on vliw architecture? Please try to release an updated version that supports VLIW5 and VLIW4 (cayman) architecture for 5xxx 6xxx cards!!!
A lot of people are using them, and it will be great for the pool and the coin to get us to switch to MMC2 mining!!!
(Also a lot of donations will be coming your way)

Price is not everything, VLIW cards have inferior memory controllers, and memory is crucial for MemoryCoin. 7870 Tahiti is fine, but I think noone has reported its hpm yet. If you are buying a new one, 280X is definitely the best bang for your buck, and not only for MMC.

Really?
I thought that, for the price, it would be better than CPU.
Something around 4-5 HPM maybe...
Anyway you are doing a great job man!!!
Oh, do you think a 7870 Tahiti LE (same core as the 79xx series) will work with the miner?
Has anyone tried this? What HPM would you expect from it?
Again... thank you!

Just a miner
I use GPU it is good worki. I need increase Fan speed (RPM ) to 4000 RPM. anyone know paramater ?use CCC Manual adjust
someone please explain me why are a huge different in performance between 7950 and 7970??the 7970 should be faster in scrypt as well. 7970 is just more powerful in about every way
with my 7950 got 10 hpm >>> scrypt mining 650
with my 7970 got 19 hpm >>> scrypt mining 600
why is so bad the performance of the 7950??
Thanks

The 7870 that does 10hpm is gigaherz edition, 7950 runs cores at 800MHz. 7870 gets almost 10 and my 7950 gets the same.. do you think the 2 gpu are the same?
Does this pool support long-polling?No. Makes no sense actually at this hashrate (neither does stratum).
changed my settings to ubuntu from windows8Linux is consistently better for MMC indeed, across all cards. Must be related to a different videodriver model. Just wonder, why did you run an unstable driver? The latest Catalyst released (13.12) is stable, not beta.
before: 17-18hpm, and unstable drivers was crashing. max clocks was something about 1050/1550
after: 21-22hpm, stable and max clocks seems 1125/1625 (but in default clocks it is already faster than windows with clocks)
edit: and card is Club3D 280X

Price is not everything, VLIW cards have inferior memory controllers, and memory is crucial for MemoryCoin. 7870 Tahiti is fine, but I think noone has reported its hpm yet. If you are buying a new one, 280X is definitely the best bang for your buck, and not only for MMC.
I have it in plans, but definitely after Nvidia (or Nvidia-compatible) build. Do not expect from VLIW cards any decent performance with MemoryCoin though, something on par with CPU perhaps, or even worse.
Again... thank you!
Bill
Just a miner
Guys,
I have now a build of GPU miner that works with Nvidia. Its performance is rather disappointing, though: AWS g2.2xlarge (GRID K520) yields just 3.58hpm. It cannot be significantly improved upon. Consumer-grade cards would yield a similar or worse performace. Given that, please give your opinion on whether you would be using such a miner.

Would also definitely try - not sure if it works though. I have a new Macbook Pro

OpenCL for the moment. It is calculation-bound though, CUDA would not make much difference.Guys,Do you use CUDA or OpenCL?

A slightly optimized (~5%) and supporting Nvidia (maybe, tested only on AWS) miner version is on its way. ETA is several hours to a day. I will post an update when it is ready for download.Nice news 8)
I'm down to beta test a GPU miner for HD 6970 2GB.
What might be the cause of increasing rates of rejects, it usually gets worse later, like this:Either they are stales, or the card gives hardware errors. New version of miner will print reject reason for rejected shares.

Reporting maybe .4 hpm increase with new miner on R9 290. Thanks for putting these out.I have reports of rather disappeared coil whine in Ubuntu, so probably different load patterns have different effect on different card hardware designs. It is not harmful though unless you overheat the card.

The problem with starting the miner in your system is that it cannot load OpenCL library, which I assume is due to the fact its 32-bit version is just not there. This is why I asked if you can run 32-bit cgminer: it would have the same problem if my assumption is correct. For Windows, it is 32-bit which also runs in 64-bit OS. It is still coil wine, only it is not always constant with MMC algorithm but may rather come in 'chirps'. It is safe, in fact, you can experience it in games/benchmarks as well.Reporting maybe .4 hpm increase with new miner on R9 290. reorder, thanks for the reply. I'm in Ubuntu with my ASUS R9 290's as well, it's not a whine as much as a sound like an quiet insect or maybe a rain stick once every few seconds (I know this is a stupid description). I assume that's what people call coil whine. Temp's are fine (same as old miner), so yea maybe just due to my build of Linux or drivers or something.
Hi,You need more system RAM to run 4 cards, it has been reported that 5G is enough, 4G is not.
I'm GPU Mining using 3 R9 280x, with HPM around 80-90hpm so that's all good.
However, after adding a 4th card in my rig(the same type) , only 3 cards are mining. One always stays idle.
At first the 4 cards are succesfully recognized but there's always only 3 workers accepting tasks.
If i try mining other coins(FTC), all 4 cards are active.
Is there a specific config to do to have the 4 cards mining?

would be cool though if you could set vents to 70% because others may have the problem also and get overheated cards maybe not even noticing
I run the gpu miner along with cgminer and set all GPU config from there.
Hi,Should work, if you have a proper Nvidia OpenCL installation in your system.
NVIDIA news?
I run the gpu miner along with cgminer and set all GPU config from there.
Can you actualy do that? How?
Can you just run cgminer for the temp and autofan option and not actualy mine anything???
Can you actualy do that? How?I have not tried that myself, but can't you just point cgminer to non-existant pool for that?

Yep.
What I actually do is run reorder's miner and then start CGMiner on Intensity 19.
I let them both work together.
On 2 r290 I have installed I'm getting 14.5 hpm per card on the gui miner + 250-300khash/s on CGMiner
So overall it seems to give more than 100% combined :)
We know you like mining, so now you can mine while you mine :):)
what's mean WPM and HPM?thanxIt is 'works per minute' and 'hashes (solutions) per minute'. Over time they converge to the same value.
I get 20hpm and 21 wpm at 1130/1500 on HIS 280X,I see somebody get 22hpm.why?

I think mc2-1gh-win eventually spoil the video card. I have two computers with the cards. First stable both of them worked. Then he began crush first, now became crush second. The computer completely freezes, only helps reset. cgminer on these computers works stably.More likely it is PSU power feed that degrades over time under certain load patterns (cgminer load is much more evenly distributed over time). Could also be a driver issue of course, especially in Windows.

Well, what I can say for sure is that miner code does not try to deliberately destroy your hardware :) The updated miner may differ in load pattern it puts on your card because it accesses memory differently than previous version. Or it may not - that depends on how your card's manufacturer has arranged power lines and DRAM controllers.More likely it is PSU power feed that degrades over time under certain load patterns (cgminer load is much more evenly distributed over time). I hooked up a power meter to my PC while it was mining. Horrible spikes +/- 250WattsThis is what those whining chokes are there for, actually. Mining MMC become more and more Unprofitable!
Now, I have mined MMC use GPU for one week. I find that I can get 23~24 MMC (above 0.0082BTC )one day using one 280x ( about 20hpm).
Mining dogecoin, I can get 23000~25000 doge (above 0.009~0.0095BTC) one day using one 280x (about 750K~780K).
I post these data only based on my lastest GPU mining result without using any predict calculator in Web.
The price of MMC sharp decline recently , so I consider move some GPUs to dogecoin pools.
@reorderYes, as soon as I can get hold of 6xxx and debug there. May take several days.
the PTS-miner works very fine on my HD6990 with ~1200 cpm/GPU or ~2400 cpm for the complete card(s) with about 60 % power consumption compared to scrypt-mining - great work!
but the MMC-miner does not work with this 6990 - only rejections of the shares?
is there a planned update of the mmc-miner?
how to set parameter ,I want use less GPU ,my gpu 3G RAM when I open MMC gpu miner,I can't do anythings else! You cannot, MMC algorithm is much more demanding than PTS. The GPU does not have a chance to 'rest' between tasks and let you do something else on your PC.
But when I open pts gpu miner, also I can use computer to do other things

Hello!
I am a novice at this pool, about 24 hours I worked on a pool with capacity of approximately 10k cpm and have not received any reward, why? Maybe I have something set up wrong? Do I understand correctly that you need to get started in only specify the number of wallet?
I probably missed the information somewhere in the last 30 pages but how do you run an instance of the miner for each card? Please run it without parameters for a brief usage help. Generally, you have to create several bat-files appending platform-device pairs to the commandline like this:
mmc-miner.exe YOUR-MMC-ADDRESS 0-0
mmc-miner.exe YOUR-MMC-ADDRESS 0-1
Skipping device 0-1 (AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor ): not a GPU

Please advise on how to work around this (95% of my results are "verify-errors"):Looks like your card is giving hardware errors, could be an overheat or power issue.QuoteSkipping device 0-1 (AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor ): not a GPU

Someone with 25000 hpm!? Lol, this is rigged. No way someone has 700+ gpus on mmc, it just doesn't add up.MMC more profitable than LTC + there are 1000+ GPU farms mining LTC out there
And no...it can´t be "cloud mining" hehe
Im guessing the user on mmc.1gh.com who goes from 25000 down to 5000 depending on hours of day is likely abusing some university ie. At the lowpoint of 5000 its likely all the computers are in use by students and then afterhours he drills all of them at max speed.Or he is chain-hopping with another coin, which is the most rational explanation.
Either that or a flaky botnet :)
Well here we go again, every time that user churns up to over 25000 the reject rate on 1gh shoot up to 15% , what a waste of hardware. What are reject reasons you get?
Im guessing that user is totally destroying the server with his thousands of connections . :/

reorder could you look into the high reject rate 10-14% when the server gets packed with those high hpm users.Does your miner show the reject reason? On our side it looks like most rejects are stales, and that is hard to avoid with memorycoin. We have a plan on how to address the issue, but it requires an additional API implemented in memorycoind itself, and that may take a few days.
Right now kinda forced to put more of my hpm on 1gh due to ever diff changing and 1gh just about hitting every block right now, would love it if you could figure out how to drop the rejects when server is loaded.
Ive tested from 3 different locations(europe, asia, usa) just to make sure its not an issue from the one location and when server gets loaded they all get hit with 10-14% rejects.
Reject reason is mostly stating share invalid which only starts to happen once the pool is cranking on with those heavy miners and their hpm. This is not a possible course of action, you may get the response slower, but valid share cannot be invalidated. Probably yam thinks it is invalid when it cannot get a response to a share submission in a reasonable time, this is a possibility when that top miner comes with his many connections. We are going to implement a solution for that in a few hours.
To me it seems like a load issue where the pool cant process the getwork shares fast enough then malforms it and returning invalid share.
1gh.com is very stable with far less than 1% reject/stale when those 2 epic miners hashrate drop so I doubt its just a normal issue rather than a server load issue.
reorder could you add a 24hr earnings stat to the user page, makes it just so much easier to look at quickly to get an idea how good/bad the last 24hrs were and in general just to know what was earned in 24hr cycle. We are already working on it and this feature will be available soon:

I just wanted to make you aware.
I went to check my stats page and it is showing all 0's.
An hour ago it appeared to be correct.
I currently have 2 machines mining, so it shouldn't be blank, but even the Rounds Section is blank.
My wallet is MRF2VddcJqqBkHY7DRkk7fjG7mdhr1aUMH.
Thank-you
This appears to be resolved. Not sure what it was, but it only lasted about 10 minutes. We're sorry. We did a short (20 minutes) frontend maintenance.

HiMost likely you have too little system RAM in your rig/PC, especially if you have multiple cards.
I meet this problem too in MSI 7850 Hawk 2G.
Started mining the other day on my Haswell E3-1230. Wanted to throw in a gpu to the mix. At 100%GPU I was having some major issues. You see, this isn't a really quality card (Power Cooler 7850)...but when it did mine I got 7-8 hash. My cpu mined like a beast with no errors (9hash @ 7 threads). This is a workstation that is used as basic PC most of the time. So when I added the 7850, I took it down to 6 threads...still 9hpm. When I increased power in catalyst by 10% and decreased the clocks to 800/1150 and set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=80, I got less crashes, getting 7.5hpm. Playing video or doing anything java script crashes the driver. Is this normal? I'm running catalyst 13.12, should I get an older driver? Is it a driver or hardware failure? I have run the reg file every time the crash happens.Yes, this is quite normal: the coin algorithm is real hard on GPU. For the reg file, it is sufficient to run it just once, the system does not override the settings then.
Does memory size on the gpu card make a huge difference? Say 3GB to 6GB? Would that be a noticable difference in hpm?Anything above 2G does not make a difference.
We have upgraded our wallet to the latest version (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=4442.0)Thanks.
