General Discussion / Re: Vested Balance and BTER
« on: September 08, 2015, 10:52:50 pm »
For the record, sumantso was initially discussing

Dec.14,2014BTS_S2

as shown in BTER balance, and reflects the number of bitshares in your BTER account the day of the merger snapshot. BTER did this because they stated that they would honor the snapshot, and therefore provide users with the vested shares that correspond to the Dec.14,2014BTS_S2 balance.

To date, BTER has not released any of the vested shares that correspond to the Dec.14,2014BTS_S2 balance.

Isn't the Dec. 14,2014BTS_S2 the "Sparkles" snapshot?

Isn't Sparkles dead?
You are probably right, sorry for the misinformation.

There's been so many share drops that I've lost track. In bter, is the Play_BTS_S1 still relevant? It's listed on top of the BTS_S2.

I know it is hard to remember because it has been awhile. I have close to the same number for both, so they must have happened almost at the same time. They represent the PLAY shares we are supposed to get from BTER whenever that happens. based on whatever the conversion of BTS to PLAY was - the Play_BTS_S1 is the number of BTS you had in your account on the day of the snapshot.

Interesting, Bit-X is traded in the OTC market.

http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/BITXF/quote
http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/snapshot/snapshot.asp?ticker=BITXF
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BITXF

I don't think they are the same company. This OTC is a Canadian company.. and I could not find any ties to Bit-X the card in relation to this listing.
Yea it looks like you are right, different companies/websites.

Thanks sumantso for your efforts, I had a good chunk on BTER back then so that I should get vesting shares; if you get them to release some of the vested shares that would be great.

Identabit's 20% sharedrop on BTS is not so clear cut,  as Ander and others have pointed out. It is 10% of total supply, 20% of the initial supply.

Shentist, you deserve some and will likely get some if you continue to re-post in this thread; it took me 4 posts over 7 weeks and several private messages - to finally get recognized, I feel your disenchantment with the whole thing.

"What to do as an investor? Recognize that the above recommendations are politically Pollyannaish. The Merkel dominated EU will not change any time soon, nor will Bernie Sanders be elected U.S. President. Global fiscal (and monetary) policy is not now constructive nor growth enhancing, nor is it likely to be. If that be the case, then equity market capital gains and future returns are likely to be limited if not downward sloping. High quality global bond markets offer little reward relative to durational risk. Private equity and hedge related returns cannot long prosper if global growth remains anemic. Cash or better yet “near cash” such as 1-2 year corporate bonds are my best idea of appropriate risks/reward investments. The reward is not much, but as Will Rogers once said during the Great Depression – “I’m not so much concerned about the return on my money as the return of my money."

"In the long run though, the return of your money will likely not pay for college, healthcare, or retirement liabilities. That is the near global conundrum we are faced with as near zero percent interest rates limit capital gains in the future, and if raised too high, will lead to redzone losses. Not much else to say here. Finance based capitalism with its zero bound interest rates has now produced global imbalances that impair productive growth and with it the chances for “old normal” prosperity. Whether you are tall or short, or your portfolio big or small (better to be big!), they’re not going up as much as you hope they would over the foreseeable future." - Bill Gross

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: 100% - Delegate for Chronos
« on: August 31, 2015, 08:35:17 pm »
It should be noted that in the OP lafona was asked to run the delegate for 5%, not 3%, it is very kind of him to reduce his own compensation. Thanks lafona for stepping-up to run the delegate on behalf of Chronos.
