Title: Where's the help wanted section?
Post by: tsaishen on April 12, 2015, 12:50:14 am
So I'm probably blind, but we do need to acquire some talent and I'd rather recruit from the bitshares community (especially looking for people who would like to be paid in bitshares directly).

Ok I'm just not seeing it.  Is there a help wanted section on this site?
Alternatively, is anyone here looking for work in any of the following areas?

#1 Copywriter - Must posses world class english skills.  You are preparing press releases that will become public with very little notice.  You must be very careful to avoid spelling and grammer misteaks.
#2 Web Designer - Prefer someone with strong wordpress experience, we've got 2 we need a third if we want to get this done in time.
#3 Community Liason - Certain aspects of our business mean that we will have our own forums, the liason position is a forum admin, kicking out spammers etc.
#4 Business Liason - AKA Tech support, must know how to configure, run & troubleshoot bitshares app on behalf of clients.
#5 Software Developer - Working with me, product is reasonably simple and written in go, but must meet extremely rigid requirements for compliance reasons.  Product is middleware sitting between two existing platforms.

More coming soon.

Thanks!

I don't believe we do, but I believe favdesu can start a board. :)

I would contact CryptoPrometheus, he is a great writer in our community.

Just to be clear, this is 5 different positions, not 1 guy doing 5 different things. ;)

I think he meant that you can ask favdesu to open up a "Help Wanted" Board on this forum.

And that Crypto-Prometheus is a good copy writer.   :)

In which board should we put a "Help Wanted" section?

How about "Jobs" instead?

Very funny!

(By the way - welcome to the BitShares forum! I'm appreciating and enjoying your presence!)

Job application part 1 is to see that you have three spelling mistakes in this.   I'm going to assume this was actually on purpose, since the rest of the post is flawless.  Very clever! ;)

Edit: Someone beat me to it.

I also wonder whether or not tsaishen purposefully neglected to capitalise 'english'.

I like this one:

in action @ ethereum:
http://jobs.ethercasts.com/

We can start with a jobs subforum too ..

sure i can include it into .org .. but then it doesn't make sense if we don't update it on regulary base! My 2 cents ...

Jonathan and I talked about this, and we have decided to modify our proposal to include classified jobs listings as part of phase 1, rather than phase 2 of dposhub.org.

If you haven't seen the plan yet, check it out: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,15832.0.html

A jobs board on the Bitsharestalk forum might be a good idea, and perhaps the option we provide could complement this.

Legally, they're not really jobs, but opportunities to become an independent contractor.
