would bts2.0  have mobile apps ?

Nah, who needs that? I'm prettysure Bitshares will require custom hardware terminal that costs $30k, a $5k/yr certification from Cryptonomex and an FBI background check.   /s

is this the very beginning of a reputation system?

More like God-Emperor doling out favors from his spaceship in the clouds system.

Ken, it's really baffling why you still aren't voted in. Did you try making a thread on the Chinese board? (Google translate + proofread bounty should work)

What logical rationale is there for LTC to be worth nearly 10 times BTS?  ???

LTC currently has real usage as a tumbler for Bitcoin.

Cyprus was all speculation,  there was zero actual bitcoin activity in the actual Cyprus at the time. There's close to zero bitcoin activity in Greece today as well and the market is much smarter this time.

Why so quick to dismiss this as a publicity ploy?

It does sound quite negative.

You answered for me. ;)

It's fake negative. All that readers are going to take away is that for whatever convoluted reason, Bitshares is getting a s*load of awesome new features. He even mentions them specifically, which he wouldn't in a genuine hit piece.

0.9.2 worked for me. 8.1 upgraded to 10 pro.

Very good subversive PR. Inject Bitshares 2.0 marketing under the guise of controversy. Whoever pulled it off (Max?), well done, Sir.

but even better for crypto-currencies like LTC, DGC, NXT etc. XRP, BTS, STR and MAID obviously not so much

What is the logic here?

Awesome job! Congrats to both parties!

blockchain tokens have value because people perform useful work to operate and protect them.

This is incorrect.  Labour theory of value has been refuted over a hundred years ago. Things have value because people individually assign them value based on their subjective valuations of their perceived properties.

Edited as well. Stuff like that shouldn't stay on the web, it WILL be dragged out by competition, just look at the PR s*storm between Ripple and Stellar.

General Discussion / Re: Dan's Interview is on 'Let's Talk Bitcoin'
« on: June 21, 2015, 08:57:33 pm »
Next time Dan is on the show, how about inviting Andreas as well? I would love to hear him debate with Dan on this subject since Andreas has openly said stupid generalizations about how other blockchains are guaranteed to be less secure and pointless etc.

They had a discussion on the DPoS episode.
