General Discussion / Large on Bitshares exchange trade volume bitUSD
« on: February 08, 2015, 08:26:05 pm »
I noticed on coinmarketcap.com that 'on bitshares exchange' trade volume for bitUSD is very high. Such that total trade volume for bitUSD places it at number 5 when ranking 'currencies' on the site by trade volume.

Any ideas why this may be the case. Has it always been this high or is this recent. I cant find a chart to show trade volume over time.

Perhaps the new mine bitUSD pool?

Has anyone posted this information to Bitcointalk.
My rep there is very low (have never really commented on anything).
Someone with a high rep should defiantly post this to the forum.

I dont think that launching the old currency as a cryptocurrency will do anything to help.
Conversion to bitGold would be a cool solution however it would be more complicated than converting to bitEuro.
It would be great publicity if people in Greece start converting their Euro to bitEuro.

While it is a good idea to keep questionnaires sent to a wider audience to a minimum to ensure greater number of responses.

I am sure that the community would be very willing to answer a lot more questions at a time.

If many more questions need answering, if links to such were posted on the forum I am sure there would still be good responses to questionnaires that take more time.

How can one view the bitshares market using the browser.
I know I used a link once for a shared wallet for testing.

Would it not be a good idea to have a link on the website to a neat GUI showing the active markets (spread, charts, orders etc).

Very, very cool

After listening to Bytemasters reasoning, I have changed my mind and agree that the wallet needs to have a fun element.

This should be optional add-on to the wallet.

There should be many add-on wallet options

I think that this is a fun idea.
But should not be directly associated with Bitshares.

Cool site.
I believe the site would benefit from having a greater focus on the exchange rates.
This will make it look more like an exchange.

The exchange rates (currently very small and at the top) should be larger with indicators and updating every few seconds.

The way that this site updates prices (the constant change and information makes this site exciting to watch):

yup we'll integrate more stats/charts soon ... i want also something add like you can see on https://paymium.com/ - right sidebar for assets ...

Awesome :)

Apparently the old one had a negative response to it.
Yes, there is no point to the count down if its not counting down to anything.

I think a 'watch this space' message would suffice

How is this legacy system stuff making the news. Bitshares just revolutionized banking and the world is like: *meh, now about that fast horse you mentioned earlier.
I dont get it...
