Is it safe to use BitShares-PTS online wallet? ( is it as secure as a bitcoin blockchain wallet? )
-
No one can guarantee the safety of any wallet.....including the blockchain wallet. The general consensus is that a wallet on your own system would be the safest. Where is the online wallet?

I found the online wallet here http://pts-bitshares.com/

bitsharesfan, that looks like a scam site... I'd get rid of the wallet. (Unless you're here to promote it, of course)
I've asked about it here. (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=12956.msg170259#msg170259)

Whatever that is, it's not PTS-DPOS:
BitShares PTS is a Bitcoin clone...
Even if it wasn't for PTS-PoW I wouldn't trust it.

Bitcoin blockchain online wallet is an open source and it doesn't store the private keys on their servers, with that said, I wouldn't use them either. In an online wallet you don't know who owns your BTS, in any time the site is not available you won't be able to spend your BTS, I suggest you use a desktop wallet for better transparency and privacy.

my advice is to only use the wallets from the github's releases
bitshares: https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/releases
bitshares pts: (correct me if i'm wrong) https://github.com/PTS-DPOS/PTS/releases
