We are a group of an active blockchain enthusiasts, that prefers real steps over cryptofuss, but without rush.
Еven if there are few of us and we are just in the beginning of our journey, we can do a lot of different things.
For example, our joint effort named rusteemitblog — project that transforms articles, reviews and the texts of official announcements from Steemit.com into the form that can be digested by Russian readers.
Today we wanted to announce that Russian localization of Bitshares DEX UI is ready and available for all web wallets and for light wallet as well, huge thanks to @testz for his help.
Those are the things that already exist. In the future we plan to make some more bold steps into the bright decentralized future.
First of all, we are aiming to become voluntary ambassadors of Graphene technology in the Russian speaking and broader global communities.
That includes being the information kiosk and technical support at the same time ;)
More seriously, it includes the following activities
- Outreach and marketing activities on other media resources (chats, forums, etc.) to attract wider and diverse audience to the blockchains based on Graphene tech and other projects related to it.
- Support and feasible help in launching and development of new projects based on Graphene, as well as their users. We are open to any initiatives of the community members!
- Unification of all the projects based on Graphene into single informational field by translation of different educational articles and reviews, statistics, user manuals and educational videos
- Technical support, that includes an operation of the witness/delegate nodes in different Graphene-based blockchains, as well as the development of products that expand the functionality of this relatively young ecosystem. That way we are directly participating and keeping abreast of the events related to it.
- Development of applications and services based on Graphene
- The launch of a separate gateway for the Russian community that allows using Rubles on BitSharesDEX platform.
Conclusion
Your support is extremely important for us since together we are greater than the sum of separate elements.
Crypto world develops as rapidly as a colony of yeast, but there is still a way to go until it turns into a sweet bun, so we’ll surely meet!

The announcement of Russian GUI will come out later when we finish working on it.

Last merged update (Russian GUI including help) here: https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/pull/86
Current online wallets like https://bitshares.openledger.info/ currently has only Russian GUI (without help) which you can select in settings.

Hey guys, in awaiting of hardfork and bitRUB we started our own MPA RUBLE.
So we have a proposal for witnesses out there
- You start a price feed on RUBLE (http://cryptofresh.com/a/RUBLE)
- You give me your witness nickname in PM
- We vote your witness through our proxy
just 6 places available now

and btsprice have upgrade to support feature alias,
add this to config.json will support RUBLE

and blockchained, you need to set the flag "witness feed asset" to on, so we can publish the price

Good! Wanted to trade rubles when it was plummeting, but bitRUB was screwed. Such an awesome shorting opportunity lost back then :( Now I can finally set my bot on it :)

It is not issued by a single account, it is a private MPA, no trust needed.

Yeah, but all parameters can be changed by 1 person, including feed.

We chose an option to give price-feed by the list of 10 accounts that can do it
That's why I asking the nicknames of those witnesses who ready to give a price-feed
when the all 10 accounts will be reached we'll make changes in MPA and vote on those who participate

If committee will support the afford we'll glad to see them in the list of those who give a price-feed
For our gateway, we need this MPA in awaiting of bit.RUB
Because to fix a bit.RUB we need a hardfork, and the last hardfork was 2 years ago

That is the reason why we want to have witnesses/committee members or any other trusted members of the community to be on the list of feed producers. That way we can be sure that it is much harder to manipulate price feeds, and the Ruble is much more robust as a SmartCoin.

Could you please explain how/when/why did bitRUB break? Why do we need a hard fork in order to fix it?

In the early days of BitShares 2, we probably had a glitch in the feed scripts that published a price feed that was way of the actual values. The end result was that bitRUB black-swanned. No new bitRUB can be issued anymore right now and the existing bitRUB (probably just a few $ worth of RUB) are stuck. Only a hard fork can either revive the asset, or add functionalities that allow shareholders to revive it.
