I've seen some concerns on that thread:

11. Where will the replacement ads come from? In what way is this an improvement?

Our browser-inserted ads will come from ad agencies and our direct partners. We have several advantages over traditional channels:

The in-browser targeting engine has substantially more information about the user's activity available to it than traditional tracking methods, while simultaneously providing greater privacy and control for the user.

Just a funny curiosity, if you check the faq.

5. Why aren’t you using Mozilla’s Gecko engine on laptops?

We were, under a partially sandboxed, multi-process architecture called Graphene. But we did a careful head-to-head comparison and by every measure, Electron/chromium won. We wish Mozilla well, but as a startup, we must use all sound leverage available to us. For web compatibility and in particular Chrome compatibility, this means chromium.

Obviously not BitShares toolkit  :P

On top of the Get listed on the Bitshares DEX, we should also have "BitShares is looking for business partners" or "Looking to help new businesses/services" and then we show multiple use cases and how our tech can help, ie: exchanges, crowdfunding, etc

That should help attract new businesses, people will immediately know they can use BitSHares for

Tough to make that case when just last week the community decided to remove the partners section of the forum claiming we should have no partners.

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21699.0.html

Partners or 3rd party services, I think it's just semantics.. The idea is to advertise we want businesses and services using BitShares and have them quickly understand how they can do it via use cases

You should have filmed it to expose this. You always have your history though, take a few prints if you don't mind and compare it with the highest price at that time. Do you have any way of proving this?

I liked it, but replace bond market for stealth. We dont want to advertise something that we dont have

STEALTH will need some rigorous testing on the UI as to avoid mistakes from users. After that, we will also have the Rate Limited Free Transactions (RLFT) that abit is working on if I'm not mistaken. Once both of those are done with, what would you like to see next from the list on our roadmap? Remember it might still take a while before whatever option you've chosen starts being worked on.

Don't forget that our resources are limited and we can't do on a shopping spree. We can't afford everything and probably not even the most expensive stuff on this list so please vote with that into consideration. Remember that we don't need to have a toon of random features, we need to have some features with a certain objective, that complement each other as a way to maximize their use and benefit BitShares the most.

Check the Roadmap for details: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21541.0.html
For details on Yield Subsidy: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21597.105.html

Please provide a reasoning behind your choice. Why did you choose it? Which is the one that could benefit the most? Is it worth the cost? Can we afford it now? Do you prefer something with a bigger short term or long term impact? Are these even needed? Should we opt by something else? Should we focus on what we have for now? If so, how?

What path do you think we should be taking?

For you, what's the #1 priority for BitShares right now and what path should we follow?

Will optimize SEO etc. as well .. we didn't make much on SEO side. .. so from this point of view not that bad :)

To get a better position . back links are by far most important .. quality back links ..

Nice! Thanks Cass!  +5%

We lack a "Get listed on BitShares DEX" button on bitshares.org

I never thought about that, it's a good idea  +5%

i like the overall sentiment and this should be one area of our marketing someone runs with. Has anyone reached out to the SuperNET crew? they've pulled in some minor coins to their project, so pulling them into ours could have added synergy.

Or have them migrate the entire thing here  :P

Do we have some updates on how the new website cass is doing is going on ?

Another one? We've had so many websites lol. I always welcome improvement though. I like this one, it's really simple but clearly lacking important stuff, like videos, screenshots, etc. People need to see what we have to offer, otherwise they won't even try it. They need to see it first on the website so they get curious.

Hey guys how's it going?

This account seems legit

Can't tell if your being sarcastic... but I'm guessing that isn't really the dadossi chandra account.

I was indeed

Since we've been talking about marketing, what about accomplish this apparently simple task? It seems like a nice first step? We should be the number one result. Is there any way to accomplish this? Is it by paying? Or does it need to be organic, by number of searches and clicks, what? I'm not into SEO.

It sounds to me like a good first step. But practically, does it work that way? What if there's no random magic solution to get it there?

What exactly is Storj currently getting out of Counterparty? Just the ability to trade a token? If so we could certainly do so far better. Looks they're considering integrating with ETH though which I suppose will allow them to offer storage to smart contracts which could be useful.

I'm afraid this will be what happens. But if they just want a place to trade, ours is surely the best.

General Discussion / Re: Potential BitShares Road Map for 2016
« on: March 07, 2016, 09:26:56 pm »
I think marketing should be done by each one of us or as a community effort. No need for worker funds, it has already been proven it doesnt work, funds go to waste and we are not yet at a level where its worthy to use big funds for that since we still need to improve a lot of stuff.

Marketing will be done by each service using BitShares, the question is finding those services, not how to advertise BTS. If we have a good product, people will surely come, maybe it will take more time but they will. We should focus on that,

General Discussion / Re: Liquidity Pool Discussion
« on: March 07, 2016, 05:58:29 pm »
The liquidity problem is trivial. Most of us do not understand a crap in how to do market making. Guys, who do understand how to do market making, do not have enough funds to do market making. The solution is: contact people who are trusted by society, and who can run a smart market making bot, and lend them money. Problem solved.

Isn't that what we are trying to achieve here. It's a pool where anyone can send money to.
